  1. The US is a valued and strong ally but not our only one. We are also part of the traditional British Empire and NATO. This gives us many allies to call on should Russia ever be so foolish as to attack. Our standing army is small but in two world wars Canadians were at the forefront. Most of our armed forces were volunteers. Imagine facing a pissed off wave of loggers, fishermen, farmers, hunters, all creating their own rules.

  2. If it's international waters why could nobody find there way through it and died trying till they got help from natives of the land. Seems like the only reason the know the full route is because of Canada showing it to them

  3. A threat to Russians? Like the people? The Northwest passage is Canadians but the Fish and the Oil and Gas is not something I would be willing as a Canadian would be willing to hold hostage like a kindergartener when it could be used to help both Canadians and Russians. Screw anyone wanting to just get it all for themselves, I want to work together and instead focus on making sure we do this properly because Russia does Extraction of Oil and Gas really well. I'm so tired of fighting, and I miss Russia. Not Putin, but the people.

  4. We live in B.C., one kilometer (half a mile) from the US/Canada border crossing. Now that Putin's buddy will be in charge in the US, – and we know what Putin thinks about invading and taking over his neighbor and cousin's homes and properties – I can see a US takeover of BC coming. It would give the US a land linc to Alaska and the Arctic. My hubby wants to move North, but I'm thinking we might do some good with the upcoming Underground Railroad.

  5. As a Canadian, I think we need to heavily invest in Canada's military because Canada shares a northern border with Russia and when it comes to America, it's more likely that Canada will end up sharing any Northwest passage with the US because we're allies and it makes sense

  6. 1. Canada has no army. 2. Canada has developed the artic in contrast to Russia. 3. The current Cdn government has prohibited new oil production. 4. Canada plans to elimiated fossil feul by 2035. 5. Canadiain live within 200 milies of the US boarder. 6. Canada has no ice breakers.. 7. The Cdn air force has 50 year old planes that can't reach the artic and return. 8 Canada has only observer status in Nato 9 the USA protects the artic.

  7. Russia is much weaker than the far right wingers in America think because they fancy they have much in common with Putin because they share the same fascist ideology. Unfortunately they are wrong and Putin is a bungler like Trump.
