Whoops! I said Q-NED. Sorry, LG! Guess I can’t get that out of my head. Anyway, what do you guys think? Let me know. Should have one of these in for review very soon!

I did get the LG G4, based on a lot of research and your recommendations. My question is, when watching regular TV is the screen refreshing at 120 Hz or does it only do that when gaming? The reason I ask is my receiver is about 5 years old and does 4K 60 hz, do I need to upgrade to a 4k 120 FPS passthrough receiver to get the most out of this TV for regular TV content?

@Argenswiss

G4 or A95L? Or just save some money and go S90C?

@mikebing1230

LG G4 is the best OLED ever made. Beats every single competitors tv.

@ford24680

I really like the way you present. Im always impressed, and you've quickly become my go-to TV reviewer. Thanks for all your hard work!

@RaZ0R9111

77g2 or 77c4?

@ChromeJob

You definitely buried the lede … no not really, just kidding. The "ads are not forcefed" news is probably not the most TECHNICAL juicy tidbit here, but certainly probably the most important to most consumers (living squarely in that bell curve hump). Well done drilling down on that.

And a hearty "well done!" to LG for LISTENING to complaints and taking them seriously. Now if only they'd roll the 2023 fix to ASBL(TPC) to 2021 owners…!

(Also kudos, Caleb, for the shoutouts to Classy Tech. The dude works very hard for the details he uncovers.)

Now I'm just waiting for 100" OLEDs to drop in price.

@jessesmith-dow8343

When does the official G4 review hit, I’m holding off on buying it till I see

@gertost

Keep my lg c2 65 inch some more years, or buy the lg g4 77 inch, on black friday or some other sale?

@kevinliu4797

Just ordered lg g4 77. So excited

@phoenixx8225

Dam i bot a g3 55 last summer 😢 oh well gonna wait for g5 with 165hz 😅😂

@bucclao209

Can the G4 83” be mounted on an extended tv mount instead of the flush wall mount that is sold separately for this tv??

@ManuelLopez-ud7fo

Has anyone noticed that LG and maybe other brands don't have the same warranty policies between regions/countries?

I'm stuck with an OLED G2 and a very distracting black line, that now I have to pay again for the whole tv since in my country we don't have the 5 year panel warranty 😢

@the_outcast_kid

The g 4 will definitely be the next tv that i get

@DarthMaster09

Can you get a stand for the LG G4 77"?

Anonymous

First question is, does the new stand fit the G3? If yes, LG should sell one at a discount for G3 owners

@jonnywishbone1342

LG needs to include a more refined, professional remote…backlit capability…I own a Plinius M10 reference pre amp for my two channel stereo system…they have a machined aluminum remote with tactile precise buttons…make the remote reflect the quality of the electronic device LG…..by the way I do own two LG OLEDs…an E7 and a C9….I am going to purchase a G4 later this spring……love your channel…

@petecap4382

LG got stupid no Next gen tuner really 😮almost 7 grand for 83 that’s the one I was going to get I’ll stay with Sony after all they are the one and only

@davidburns5498

Right now I'm deciding between the G3 and G4. One thing that has given me pause is the downgrade from ATSC 3.0 in the G3 to 1.0 in the G4. Not an issue for everyone, but I have been known to use an antenna and would appreciate some expert guidance on the importance of this feature. I am surprised you don't mention it. Also, not mentioning it could be used by some (not me) to impugn your independence, which I know you value highly.

@Alsam

Love the videos. Thinking of getting a LG C4 48" for a computer monitor. Work from home, big desk. Any insights helpful. Don't need to go OLED, but seems interesting. Good deals on the C3 right now.

@jaysix8032

Has LG a UHD 4k disc player to match these cool TVs? A good mid price ($299-$499) player that compliments all the features. Appreciate any heads up!

@Pikminer-5087

I've had my eyes on the C3 for a while, so I'm very curious how the C4 or even the G4 stacks up against it.

@stevenquistian

$5k tv….yikes

@user-reddev77

Considering this G4 or the new Samsung S95D in 77". A big consideration though is the sound and I would like the new Q990D Samsung atmos soundbar after being very satisfied with the Q90R that I got 4 years ago. I've read this latest soundbar is now far superior to my old Q90R and I've also viewed some poor reviews of the LG flagship soundbar system. The Q symphony on the Samsung TV that can be used with the soundbar for extra immersion and the object tracking feature is swaying me towards the Samsung TV. For myself the sound is as much a key factor as the picture quality although I don't want to go the AVR and seperate wired speaker route for aesthetic reason's. This LG could be a stellar TV and debatably a little better than the S95D but will the TV and Soundbar integration on the all Samsung setup outweigh the possible minor advantages of this LG screen? Looking to make my purchase around September time so I'm still open minded and looking forward to viewing plenty of side by side comparison reviews before I make my decision. I must say I've been very happy with my 5 year old LG OLED but I've read they have improved considerably since my last purchase.

@aaronhinton92

The silver bezels are very distracting in a dark room, though. Shame on LG for not considering that. They should be black so that they don't reflect the image.

@1997inspire

Considering your profession you could rename yourself "Cable " Dennison.83 inch G4 with MLA should be the bomb.

@tahakhan5167

The LG g4 is best OLED of 2024, its OLED uses the self eliminating pixels of over 8 million including red, blue, and green sub pixels which have white pixels sitting on top which makes this OLED a WOLVED OLED display but this uses a LG EVO panel allowing over 5 billion MIRCRO LENSES called MLA , but only MLA but MLA 2.0 , with brightness booster max, and this allowed the display last year to reach 2,180 nits, which can reach 3,000 nits this year. This Oled uses the best processor technology and algorithm of any Oled this year period. The APLHA 11 GEN 10 processor provides excellent TONE MAPPING, SHARPNESS IN HIGHLIGHTS, and FINER details, CLEARER picture than ever before. This processor also has a color enhancer feature with uses algorithms to make the colors look close to a QD OLED, and redefines what a QD OLED can with out loses That extra brightness from its EVO panel. This makes 1,500 nits of color brightness and 1,500 nits white pixels brightness. This tv has the best tone mapping, 3D CINEMATIC COLOR POP, HIGHLIGHTS, MOTION,FINER DETAILS period.
Notice: 3,000 nits reported on the s95d and lg g4 is what the panel is capable of reaching , however the panels might reach as much as brightness as reported.
The number by actually testing:
S95c was 1,580nits while s95d with over 1,700 nits. Approximately – 1,800nits
LG g3 was 2,180 nits while Lg g4 is over 2,480 nits. Approximately- 2,500nits

THE S90D MIGHT BE THE BEST PICK FOR THE VALUE TO QUALITY JUST THE S90C FROM LAST YEAR BUT NOT THE BEST, BEST IS WHAT LG HAS BEEN DEFENDING AN OLED FOR YEARS, THE S90D WAS PUT AGAINST THE G4 AND A-LOT OF SCENES showed off the excessive extra brightness of lg g4 and the finer details, better motion.

@yambu007

9:00 Plus, HDR should be consumed in dark or close to dark environments anyways

@Adriana_Es

Was the glare real bad on this TV?

@eastman40

I just bought G3 yesterday.
I got the wall mount in the box and on top of that the retailer gave me table top stand for free. It came in an extra box plus I got free delivery. So happy. ❤

@ashegheaty

How does it compare to the samsung S95D ?

@bundyJefferson-jh8wd

people no have money

@cezz1105

I wish 3d tvs would come back 😞

@michael-4k4000

Can Sony use their A95L again in the shoot out?

@lextr3110

wow grey bezels are they stupid or what

@lextr3110

do we see a grey bezel on the g4???

@Daniel-wn5ye

Does it support the DDC/CI standard?
Does it support the HDR10+ standard?
Does it support playing V1 video, FLAC, OPUS audio from pen drives?
Can we finally see the languages of the audio and subtitle tracks along with metadata about them, like which one is default, which is in original language, which is for visual or hearing impaired?

@roller4312

Burn-in defeated? No. G4 42" exists? No. I don't see any wins here.

@mymangodfrey

Ads are becoming the decisive factor for me. If LG can guarantee that a TV I buy from them will always have an ad-free option, I’ll be brand-loyal.

My first 4K TV was a TCL Roku TV, and I found Roku to be so intrusive and consumer-unfriendly that I vowed never to ever buy another one.

My projector is a Google TV, and it not only shoves ads in your face—many of the promotions are for things I find personally offensive.

It really sucks not to be able to turn on your TV (or your Windows PC) without feeling like you’re stuck at some awful Thanksgiving dinner quietly listening to your idiot cousins talk about politics. Please just let me use the devices I’ve bought in peace!

@LinouGertz

Would love a 83" LG G4 on my wall! Was earlier looking at a Sony QD OLED 77" but this seems even better! And the possibility to turn of ads is a huge plus!

@timpawol-kt8vl

I'm Going with the new LG -G4 . I would never recommend Samsung to anybody ever again. I just spent a year and seven TV's ALL
Failed. They are very cheaply built and they are not meant to last anymore.
Absolute JUNK And I even had the high end 900B AND 900C 8K. Everyone of them Warped or ended up with a big Gray line through him or a red line in the last one had water damage on the inside of the screen

@markmd9

So, the best improvement was the Web OS, and my older LG was already updated with new OS 😁
