The country is being destabilized by all of the refugees. The job of the government is to serve the people of France, not the people of the world. That may sound cold, but when the lives of french people are being affected to the degree they are, it becomes a very commonplace feeling.

NATO should have replied, "Yes, we've got those too, but ours probably work a lot better than yours" Never be bullied by dictators.

If NATO attacked Russia then China would likely enter the war on Russia's behalf. That would be the best case to keep it conventional because Russia could also use nukes. Looking at it realistically in a land war Russia and China would defeat NATO. The number of troops and drones China would field would be insane and their industrial capacity along with Russia's natural resources would be formidable. This whole thing is unnecessary and started because NATO is insisting on expanding to Russia's borders to provoke them. This situation could easily be deescalated.
