I call on the leadership of the NLC to as a matter of concern to also fight for the retirees who are falls under the Pencom PFAs because retirees are dying and having involving in strokes. We have not yet hear whether this salary increase would also affect we the retirees under Pencom PFAs. We are yet to get even first payment of palliative.

@GgaskiaAta

Most people do not understand that it is not federal government that will pay the new minimum wage of N60,000. It is the states and local goverment, which many of them could not afford. Some of them do not even pay the N30,000 agreed in 2019

@GgaskiaAta

A state like Anambra state is still paying N25,000 monthly in 2024. It could not afford to pay the N30,000 agreed in 2019. Imagine how much it is owing workers since 2019 that has not been paid. Also, the state has not paid past pensions for many years. Add the new N60,000 wage to it….confused people everywhere

@Yaro-d8i

What is happening? Because it is not a fulani govt. the North is ready to show solidarity with others. Yoruba must play this game wisely.

@peterabrahams5500

Note all those opposing this strike both from the Public and Private sectors including Financial Institutions for appropriate actions at the right time.

@penarahim8285

The NLC has been politicized. Not one single strike during the wicked 8-year Buhari regime BUT immediately a Yoruba man is elected these Igbo NLC working for Labour Party Peter Obi has striked more than 5 times just within 1-year. They called strike even before they start any negotiation. And they only negotiate for Federal jobs.

@maquindesign9158

Anyone working for 30k is not mentally ok. Will Tinubu allow his kids work for 30k?

@akeju_sanmi

Who are they fighting for, they are fighting for their selfish interest. Would increment of salary solve Nigeria problems. Instead of fighting for good governance and for the price of petrol and other commodities to come down, they are now fighting for their selfish interest. Big shame on Nigeria labour union

@chettykelly4168

No network I can’t receive alert

I support the workers

@nellyobas6437

Una never see anything. Labor leader's are committed to bribery and corruption, if not nigeria will be shutdown for poor salary.

@oyetayoblessing976

Mudu is 2500 beans.

@KennyChucksE4455

THE MANAGER OF THAT BANK HAVE BEEN COMPROMISED BY TINUBU GOVERNMENT.
THIS IS COMPLETE SABOTAGE.
IMAGINE THIS IS THE REASON WHY NIGERIAN CAN NEVER SUCCEED.
THEY COLLECTED BRIBES FROM APC GOVERNMENT AND REFUSED TO SUPPORT NLC

@Noob-zi2ce

Any worker receiving 30k, or 60k knows that he or she has become a beggar when a tin of beans is 1500 from 500 Naira. All in a single year
