Joint account does not guarantee a good marriage. A lot of men in marriage use joint account to subdue and suppress their wife. Only the men can have access to the account. The wife must come and ask them for money every time in order to get any money from that account. Only the man is in charge of the ATM card. She cannot withdraw money without permission. But the man is free without any permission to spend money as he likes. A joint account does not work for everybody. I recommend a couple should have their separate accounts plus a joint account.

10 Important Agreements For Two People In A Relationship

1. Agree to halt the relationship when you see that it's not going to work without animosity.
2. If we make it into marriage, divorce was not an option. Mentioning divorce is not an option or even mentioning it.
3. We will always have joint account and joint accountability.
4. If there is a problem, you don't sock, you talk (Communication). (Men don't read minds they read newspapers).
5. No secrets, no passwords, no hidden things.
6. Exchanging parents (Addressing our biological parents on crisis matters).
7. No quarreling in our home (If one is very upset one must back down).
8. Being intentional with our intimacy (No stepping out of the house without a kiss).
9. Nobody looks out for themselves (1 Corin 7)(Being selfless).
10. Our Marriage will be word ruled.
