Sad, Genny did a good job. Hm I wonder if those "rules" came later or not.
I think even some Nigerians were jealous abt Genny and didn't support her.
The expression BEST INTERNATIONAL PICTURE is misleading , they should call it BEST NON ENLISH-SPEAKING PICTURE , and then the English Film makers would not bother waste their time to submit to them . those categorizations are wrong anyway . You are telling me that if an arab country which have many dialects submit a film in Arabic(not in dialect) it's ok , or a French speaking African country which has many dialects submit in French(not in dialect) it's ok , but if an English-speaking African country like Nigeria submit in English it's not ok , they have to do it in dialect to be accepted ? Something is wrong with the rules for the so-called "INTERNATIONAL MOVIES" .
Genevieve Nnaji, you remain the Queen of Nollywood.
The rejection of "LIONS HEART"movie, just because of predominantly ENGLISH language, is a true fact that COLONIALISM
from the western world was a big SCAM in Africa as a whole !!
