Everything I read online says an American can get a visa on arrival. Do I really have to mail out my passport? That seems like a horrible idea. Thanks for the great video either way!

A little correction about the year of construction of the Elmina Castle: it was constructed in 1482 not 1942. Also, the castle you visited is the Cape Coast Castle which was constructed in 1555. I appreciate your work though; thank you very much, and keep it up.

Wish you had been more accurate. The castle is pronounced “el Mina”, not “el-le-Mina” as you pronounced it! Also and most egregious, is you said it was built in 1942! IT WAS BUILT BETWEEN 1842 and 1862! You should pay attention to what you say!! Won’t watch you again. Sorry!

I was also there for 7 weeks. I came by bus from Lagos. I was in West Africa for 3 months. If black person outside of Africa wants to go to Africa for the first time, please go to Ghana first. All the places you went in this trip, I went too. I stayed at a cheap hotel near Labadi beach for $15 a night and it came with AC.

What was the name of the hotel you stayed in in OSU?

Why pay to enter the beach? Ain't beaches supposed to be free?

@ghusaghusa2135

There is a LOT of misinformation in this video. You really should verify your presentation before airing.

Elmina castle is not in Cape Coast, it's in Elmina. Cape Coast castle is in Cape Coast. They're 2 different places.

Woah nearly 2,000 cedis for that round trip. Did you haggle bro lol?

Nice video can't wait to go back and visit some these places

I could like Ghana much better if they had better infrastructures, better roads and not so many open sewage throughout their metropolitan area of Accra and trash every especially after a hard rain.

This video was beneficial. I am visiting Accra in about 6 months and had no idea about the visa application process. You really saved me a lot of hassle by giving this info.

Hello, thank you for posting this informative video!! I’m traveling together for the first time next week. At 3:02, what club are you saying was your favorite? It’s difficult to hear. Also, any other travel tips that you have would be greatly appreciated 😊

Tourists be warned there are rip tides along the Ghahanian coastline which claims weak unsuspecting swimmers from time to time. Check out if the beach you visit has local Life guards, you know it makes sense.

@williamako4786

You mean 1842, not 1942

@schoolingermany3739

Elmina Castle was built in 1482, not 1942. Cape Coast Castle was built in 1653

@anthonyeghan2474

Nice video. A little correction: It was rather the CapeCoast Castle not Elmina Castle. The Elmina Castle is also a great place to visit.

Looks like an amazing time! I have travelled a lot be haven’t been to Africa yet. My ex girlfriend was Congolese but raised in Kenya and always spoke highly of it but Ghana has always interested me and so much good music seems to come from there too. Cool that you jumped over to Ivory Coast. Thanks for the video

Next time, stay in the Pelican Hotel or Movenpick or La Palm Royal Beach Hotel or The Marriot Hotel or Kempinski Hotel in Accra and many more to name. Where you slept didn't do you any justice 😅.

Smiling I have been eating a form of Wollof Rice my whole life. Its tradition in Puerto Rico, throughout the whole Caribbean and New Orleans. The Wollof Tribe seems to have been its creator. You will have to. check. I think the slaves just had to change the seasoning when they arrived to the Caribbean

Next time try the beaches in the Central and *Western region of Ghana. The water is much cleaner and clearer especially far west. Great for deep sea diving.
