  1. I observe President Uhuru suddenly seems tipsy 🥴 and that is supposed to show that he is angry?

Japan can afford to bring its debt ratio to above 100% because they have capacity to pay back- quickly. They have room to wiggle that much.

What is Kenya’s purchasing power in comparison to Japan?

It is the president who isn’t reasoning like an economist.

  2. Mark masaai is right , the president lacks a straight answer so he backs a querry to mark masaai to consume some minutes or divert the exact question so masaai tries to ignore the japan issue to stick to his question in kenya.

  3. Nway forgive me for being so quick to judge that I forgot maybe he was trying to depict a section of Kenya citizen stereotype (mwananchi wa kawaida). Congrats to my president he was the bigger man n didn't take that to heart

  4. You cant blame the president on the fact that we have such a large debt Japan has a debt that is about 200% of its GDP and so is Italy. Global capitalism is what got us into this mess.

  5. But Mr.President milk is equally good, once in a while..Maasai is great, one have to question…one have to get answers, … .The sign of an impostor is to tell you what you want to hear .I see nthn wrong…meaning we are Benchmarking with Japan?im Just asking like an economist..

  6. You know you're fucked as a country when your president argues like this. Japan is a first world country with a GDP of USD 4.872 trillion and an unemployment rate of 2.5 percent. Kenya's GDP is USD 74 billion with an unemployment rate of about 12%. It's apples and oranges and I am surprised Mr President can demand of Mark Masai to reason like an economist when he himself is thinking like a ghetto layabout.

  7. japan could be 100% GDP in debt as uhuru is saying but comparing the two economies is a lame thought. How do you develop a place that isn't food secure and health sufficient?

  8. Honestly comparing Japan and Kenya when justifying the borrowing makes no sense. Kenya isnt at the same level as Japan…at all. Our situations are completely different.

  9. If i was Mark Maasai i would never have apologised. He is
not in Japan so the Japan debt has nothing to do with him.
This was Uburu trying to deflect instead of answering the question he was asked. Calling people his friends nobody cares about friendship when the country is literally sinking.
Na Kenyans being Kenyans instead of focusing on how the President was answering the questions they are focusing on Mark Maasai for answering a question.
