That food look so delicious…my mouth was watering…The Caribbean, Latino and Caribbean American eat a lot of plantains…we make all kind of dish with them, need to try this Eto dish one day…but I will have to mix it in a food processor.🥣

I think this is the origin of Dominican/Puerto Rican mofongo and mangu. I'm Guyanese and we have our foods that are similar to ancestral African dishes like we make fufu but I don't know of any other Caribbean people that flavor their mashed provisions with meat like Ghanaians except Latino people. Very cool to see the roots of these foods we eat and love. Thank you

Cape Coast Etor is not made with Mormorni but only Yam and palmnut Oil, no spices either.
We make plantain Etor too , we eat them with hard boiled eggs
