I just want to state that I have made it to the 9:48 mark of this video & you have talked through damn near almost if not more than half of the video. NOT OKAY ‼️💔😒🍷
it is not a good idea to relax long hair like hers or any length of hair at home….hair relaxer has to be applied a certain way….the person has a certain length of time between application of the relaxer and rinsing it out…not to mention some type of skin protectant should be applied 1st around the edges to protect the skin surrounding the edges of the hair, neck ears etc…..from the chemicals in the relaxer……
I'm an African and I have fully relaxed hair. Had it since I was a kid. Doing it at the salon makes it a lot easier but if you're doing it at home and you want to avoid scalp tingles, apply vaseline to the scalp.
as a black woman myself who is currently on a hair growth journey lord jesus i swear the back of my head is the hardest to do
I'm sorry but this video makes me feel uncomfortable
Bottom of neck
Lol
Beautiful!❤🎉
OMG THAT WAS CRAZY BUT THE RESULT!! I am LOVING the joy the first girl radiates!!
Hi from Australia Brad, I'll be doing a chemical course next year, I'm sure I'm going to be more petrified of what I'm putting in my hair. 😂😂
The ONLY thing I do to my hair is wash and deep condition it once a week and tie it up [almost]every night. ERR'THANG else is my LICENSED hair stylist's responsibility. I know my lane very well (hair ain't it) and I stay in it 😊
Don't they know about the lawsuit claim on hair relaxers
If the relaxer doesn’t go on the scalp, I would have crunchy bits. Maybe texturiser. Brad how will it relax if you dont apply the relaxer lol?
This video reminds me of the utter TRAUMA my Black friends went through in the 70s-80s. Their Moms and grandmother's did the most to their hair and they would cry the whole time. I'll never forget that.
I can't go back to relaxers. They damaged my scalp. I've been natural since 2008 and loc'd since 2022. However, people have to do what's best for them, and these results look good.
Just don’t burn your scalp
shoulder
The first woman is absolutely beautiful!!!!!
It's impossible to 100% not get on the scalp bc of having to also relax the roots.
I just love watching your reactions, especially with the black women. Yes, we can do our hair. Some like a professional. Keep up the great work! 😁👍🏽 LIKED, COMMENTED & SUBSCRIBED!
“why is my hair falling out” as she does everything wrong while doing an at home relaxer 😂😂😂
Reminder for all y'all watching this thinking about relaxing your hair. If you have never done it, start with the most GENTLE strength you can until you know how your hair is going to take the stuff. MASK AND CONDITION a few days before!!! Always pregame that stuff. Treat it before you even consider going in. And not the same day either. You give your hair a few days of breathing room. If you're extra curly blow dry straighten beforehand and let it chill. If the stuff you use doesn't do enough, you can ALWAYS relax it again later, you CAN'T relax it again if you dont have hair!
I’ve been a stylist for 30 years, and when I first moved to Orlando I worked in a salon near Disney. At the time we were doing a lot of the Rusk Anti Curls. Basically a smoothing treatment /reverse perm for white girl hair. It was my first job. One day my boss sent me one other Disney dancer clients for a “Relaxer”. Lmao.. Rusk anti-curls you were supposed to keep combing for like 20 min. Scalp contact wasn’t an issue. Well not knowing I applied relaxer on the scalp like a color application and proceeded to scrape my comb over his white boy scalp for 20 min with relaxer. I’m laughing now but trust me, it was HORRIFYING!! He returned a few days later with breakage and scalp burns. No permanent damage and he was so nice about it. I went on to be a well educated colorist and he eventually came to me for cut n color as a regular client. I see that cartoon skull and crossbones whenever I see relaxer.;)
the first girl is so fineee omgg
The last time i relaxed my hair was 6 years ago. I don’t know if i want to chop the relaxed hair out or even everything out. I don’t want to lose my length but I am ready for a change 😭😭
And I use just for me.
We never read the directions. Perms are done from our parents. Then we do them. Then we do our daughters hair
Brad is the type of man i would feel safe with if we were alone in a room or trust him with my drink
As a hairstylist’s daughter, I would recommend to go to a professional when you’re relaxing your hair. It’s one of those things that need to be done by professionals 100%!
