I wouldn't have guessed that he'd go on to also break the Olympic record as well a few weeks later
Hocker won the gold, and Nuguse won bronze! Happy for these guys!
Who's here after Hocker won the 1500m in Paris? 🙋
Made his move with 300 to go at the trials, waited until 70 to go in Paris, but when he makes his move, nobody this year has had an answer. Kids on track teams all over the country are going to be modeling their races after his
This was the race that made me think that Cole could win gold at the Olympics and that's exactly what he did.
Marvelous preview of what happened in Paris; just need to photoshop in the Brit (2nd) and Norwegian (4th) into this 1-2-3 at the trials (1-3-5 in Paris). Congratulations to this outstanding trio! Cole, your kick had us going so crazy that the dogs were worried. ; )
And 1hr ago, They Ahowed the Word USA is the Best in 1500
WHAT A DOG!!!!
And now Hocker is the 4th ever American Olympic champion. Simply incredible.
Then wins gold! Wow!
Wow! Just wow!
He just won Gold 🥇
I just watched him win the gold unbelievable awesome!
So fun to watch ! Will be fun to see them run in Paris
These guys can upload the entirety of the US final but can’t upload the entirety of the fastest 1500m time in years 🤔
European champion won the 1500 meter race in 3:31; second and third came in at 3:33. I am hopeful for the US chances in the Olympics.
Impressive! At best, I could only run 1/2 that fast and by the end I would have collapsed
whoa. didnt know hocker had that
At one time, 3:32 was the world record by Filbert Bayi. Now, 3:32 doesn't even get you on the team. UNREAL!!
Hocker vs Ingebrensk will be amazing
I love how track and field people support each other.
That was crazy speed!
Unbelievable depth this year, really amazing how far the US has come in just a few years.
They sre too slow.
Hocker's style reminds me of Dave Wottle
Great race. Hopefully the US can medal in the 1500–preferably a gold medal!
taylor swift, is about as smart as joe biden
The mile was always a fun race. I can remember practicing it regularly in high school. To imagine anyone doing it at that speed is insane. The Summer Olympics to a certain extent brings back childhood memories for most everyone. We’ve all ran races before, albeit runnning, swimming, cycling so there is a connection with beautiful 4-year spectacle.
Sad for cooper teare
So why don't we just stagger for a whole lap or something? I'm tired of seeing so much unnecessary contact that could be avoided with a different race layout. Some of these runners are in other events and are legitimately risking their trip to Paris over injury, others are just unlucky. I get that these races are longer and we can't have as many semis, heats, etc, but surely a new approach needs to be evaluated.
It's like the same thing with pacers at Diamond League events, we already have a big light that flashes beside the track, why do we need 3 people up there to pace the runners.
Track running has become more and more game-ified beyond the running. Non-track races feel more like pure running while this is like…. contact running. Does anybody think that a time-trial type of race format would be interesting (just stirring the pot here), where you send out waves of runners every 8 seconds and you have to win on time, not by…. shouldering out the runner next to you.
That was a really nice race to watch.
Hocker can defeat Ingerbritsen He is stronger than him and more mentally tough. If Hocker doesn't metal i would be very surprised
Great race! 🇺🇸
These commentators talk way too much!
I’ve been watching Cole Hocker for the last four years and always amazed at his final 150 when he sprints in this was absolutely perfect. He does have a chance to win the Olympics, but we’ll see what happens time. There’s a few good guys in the Europe there good job Cole, I’ve been a fan of your kick. Smart race.
The new Dave Wottle of 2024.
Hocker is the most exciting runner right now
Ran cross country in KY at the same time as Nuguse. So pumped to watch him in Paris!
So exciting!
I'm backing Cole Hockey for a medal in the Olympic 1500 final!
