I know there's something off with the idea of a mixed-race person with an white father going around killing Africans in Africa but this just goes to show that Africans are not racist.

It is worth mentioning that not many African leaders are willing to willingly give up power and transition from military rule to a democratic and constitutional government. However, this particular leader accepted the verdict of the people and relinquished power without any fuss. It is also worth mentioning that he never kept any foreign bank accounts or sold public properties to his friends and family. This is a rare feat among African leaders.

Never mind the BBC propaganda.

J.J. Rawlings, 1st President of the 4th Republic of Ghana,
"The Pearl Of Africa". – Nelson Mandela.
Power Ascended,. 22 June 1947 – 12 November 2020, three years ago.

Africa is indelibly imprinted by the architecture of his great legacy,
his contributions to anti-colonial struggles at home and abroad,
in the intergenerational project of restoring the greatness and stature of his people and bountiful continent.
It is incumbent upon each of us and collectively, to press forward for true independence
from the western hegemony of tribal, waring thiefdoms pillaging Africa's human and natural resources,
to persevere for our political and economic unity with serenity.
Despite temporary setbacks by lesser men and women who disgrace our principals and
standards of universal sister-and brotherhood, honor and excellence.

Change is within our grasp, the time is now.
And we shall answer Peace and Unity,
transcending war with justice and imprint the future with the fruits of abundance for All.
He was loved in life, as he is in the afterlife by all who recognize truth, honor, justice, love and greatness,
and feared by those who can not.

Forever in our hearts, in the hearts of his people, freedom loving people everywhere,
Comandante, President Rawlings.

Not an easy period for him to face external n internal resistance. Surely, a few toes were stepped on and they will never forgive him. Many were victims of the circumstances of the time. He did his best. Rest in peace J.J.
