I would like to explain something to the Goldberg-Polin family. First, I understand your pain and am with you for the safe return of your son.
With regard to the interview, I just watched with regard to your statement asserting your son is a pawn in a game that you did not sign up for. You did sign up for it. You signed up for it when you made the choice to live in Israel and raise a family in Israel. The government is not playing a game with "your son". Your government is doing what needs to be done to ensure the security and safety of your nation.
Let's rewind to when the people of Israel executed relentless actions for the return of Gilad Shalit. The government eventually caved into making what would become one of the worst choices in the history of Israel. Israel released 1,027 jailed Palastinians. 280 of them were murders and high-level terrorist leaders. One of those men was Yayah Sinwaar. His release would ultimately play a large part in the 10/7 massacre. To date, close to 2,000 Israelis tortured, raped and murdered, if not more. The people of Israel imposed their will on the government and traded the lives of over 2,000 people for the life of a single parson. WAS IT WORTH IT?
I understand your pain, but you need to understand that the choice that led to 10/7 can never happen again. It is my hope that your son is returned safely. I will pray for him every day, but you can not expect your government to make a deal that will ultimately lead to the deaths of so many more, and you can not assert that you did not sign up for this game because you did. Every country surrounding you wants your entire population dead. Do you understand that? You dod sign up for this game, and if you want no part in it, then you need to leave Israel. It's that simple.
I hope for and will pray for the safe return of your son. My heart goes to you and your family.
It's a sad situation and I really empathize with the family, but this doesn't justify the atrocious genocide going on in Gaza. Killing 14000 infants to get 240 hostages? This is really messed up.

I pray for the return of your son deeply .. one correction to the statement that the aid worker got hit by mistake, or it was an accident…it was disclosed that the convoy route was communicated to the IDF, the véhicule had logos from top to side for drones to see it. The crew was authorized to go through the road , that road was cleared by the IDF for them to drive through it. May all rest in peace
I pray they are all alive and will be sent home. The pain of the in between is unimaginable. My heart aches for them and their families.
