Today my mother in law taught me how to cook African village food.
The food is called Mukimo.

  1. Hi guys, here in the U.S. we have a kitchen gadget called a potato masher. It could be very helpful in the preparation of this dish when the time comes to mash the ingredients together. Just a side note. I love watching families come together to prepare meals.❤

  2. I wish I could smell the aroma of the green onion. Of you are not African you will never understand the difference. I am in the UK and when I boil rice, can’t even smell it. In Africa you smell it from miles away.

  3. Big up to you Linnet. New subby to your channel and I’m loving your content. It’s so nice to see the good relationship you have with your Mommy in law. I’m learning these exciting dishes from our mother land. I will definitely try it. One love ❤️ 🇯🇲

  4. Great 👍 video again, Linet congrats for the hard work and the consistency. Other things we all appreciate as subscribers are the healthy and nice relationship you have with charlow's mom.My last wish for 2024 from before this end of the year is a family Q & A between you, Steve and Mercyjay on how you guys growth up as siblings.I come from big family of 10 brothers and sisters. 😂.

  5. Linnet don’t be calling your mother inlaw as mama Charlow. It is not good.. Respect. U need to call her mum or mother in-law. She always call u her daughter too.

  6. This looks delicious. Lovely vegan meal. I'm definitely gonna try this but with spinach because I don't have access to pumpkin leaves. I'll do it your way and I'll make some with cheese and bake in the oven to see how it tastes 👌🏽

  7. That meal looks delicious, and I do not want to mess with Mama Kush's tradition. However, I see myself taking the short cut way of doing it. I would cook everything as she does, but I would mash the potatoes separately with the cooked blended greens, then add corn and mix well. Mama Kush has some really nice appliances for sale, please support her.
