BRUNCH AT THE “MOST CONTROVERSIAL” RESTAURANT IN LAGOS! Cafe De Flore

We went to Cafe De Flore in Lagos , we ordered French Toasts, Chicken and Waffles, Chocolate Stuffed Crepes, Penne Pasta. What did we think about it? Watch to find out.

  1. Lol if this restaurant are serious they will understand that the Parisian culture is relaxed. With good brunch vibes. There’s no dress code in actual paris unless it’s the evening and there’s an black tie event. People should be allowed to take pictures it’ll promote the business 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️

  2. If they didn't like their dressing, they should have put a notice at the door or something. I would be pissed too if I was told I couldn't take pictures and I see other people being allowed to, with a waiter even helping them. I'd be mad pissed too. sounds like a finicky place though. I wouldn't bother going there.

  3. Thank you for your honest unbiased review. I have realised that this is the norm with most lagos restaurants- Instagram worthy beautiful ambience but with very mediocre food and service. Honestly owners need to do better so that people get value for their money. Its fine dining after all so there should be a clear difference when compared to your regular eatery. With so many similar experiences in lagos restaurants i have stopped and leave my fine dining until i go abroad and i wont lie this really makes me sad. Now When i'm in lagos its mama put and eateries for me. Restaurant owners fix this and don't see honest reviews as sisis yemmies as haters comment. A lot of people in lagos are well travelled and know exactly how these dishes on your menu should taste. If u dont change then your customers will keep on being those ones that come to spend 5k and take 5000 pictures

  4. The waiter crossed over the meal to serve the pasta which is wrong. I mean if there are esthetics here, everything should be adhered to including proper serving etiquette

  5. 1, Dress code
2, Food takes a very long time to be served.
    3, Can't take pictures
    4, Expensive meals.
5, Am not interested in the restaurant.
Thank you for your honest review as I made my research and discovered other negative reviews so you won't nor will I refer someone there. Make them chop your classiness for there🤪🤪🤪🤪

  6. 10k for that waffle and chicken thigh? I'm not going to Nigeria again 😂😂. It's a pretty spot though. I don't mind a restaurant with a dress code but "no cameras"? No ma'am

  7. My take on the dress code, it’s very unnecessary for a place called cafe. Also, they need to put their policy on a board right outside the place so guests who wants to do walk-in without checking their website can be informed. Their pricing is too expensive abeg. Kilode 😕😕🙄 But for a beautiful location like that and they want guests dressing up for it they should allow cameras in there. What is the dressing up and aesthetics for then I’m confused 🤷🏽‍♀️

  8. Unfortunately, i get the "Much Ado About Nothing vibes" here. That certainly may not have been the intention but i must confess the dress code thing turned me off as well. For a humid climate as ours, we should try to be flexible with such rules. Having said that, it is certainly a pretty well thought out space and i must give kudos to the owners for that

  9. Would really love to meet you someday o, and I even stay in your backyard, been a fan since way way back. Keep doing what you do. By the way, we are almost 500k followers, where's the turn up at?

  10. Nigerian establishments need to stop the whole "no pictures, cameras" thing. They will continuously miss the mark for FREE content from their patrons. Especially if it's an Instagramable place. Here in NYC, the servers, staff whomever will gladly help you with pics, video etc because it's a good gesture on their behalf and it's welcoming.

In regards to dress code, that should have been said before they sat down. Restaurants normally would not allow you into their establishment if you do not follow the dress code. Don't let ppl sit down and then talk about their dress code. It does not make sense.

  11. Oh my what a mess…..i feel like there is a lot of tension ever since the pandemic started. Nevertheless you were brave to stay. Otherwise the restaurant decor is pretty.

  12. I am quite pleased with the way sisiyemmie always gives a shout-out to her sister almost everytime they do a video together. It goes to show how much she wants her to grow as well. Welldone ma'am.

  13. Boy, I tell you people know how to slap some french doors on an establishment and sell french toast and now all of a sudden its a "French Cafe"…. Y'aLL 🤣🤣🤣Don't fall for the packaging!!!
