🌍 Africa's thriving tech scene:
– 🌟 Ambitious Africans are building innovative startups and leading the tech revolution.
– 🚀 Key examples:
– Fun Opeke's Min1, building Africa's first undersea internet cable
– Piggy, Nigeria's first online savings and investment app
– Paystack, one of Africa's largest startups, acquired by Stripe
– 💡 Africa's young population and increasing tech access are fueling this tech boom.
– 🌍 This transformation is happening across the continent, not just in Nigeria.
– 🔜 African tech startups are poised to compete globally against their Western counterparts.
Thank you Peace Itimi for amplifying our victories, capabilities and possibilities.

I think Nigeria is Wakanda.
What is the speaker's name?
so sad that the world is still ignorant about Africa. They think its Chinese who have created the tech victory . sad !

Great presentation. Speeds are measured in Gigbaits per second and Terabits per second Tbps. MainOne design capacity is 1.28 Tbps and not 10 Terabytes as you specified. It was put into use July 2010. Glo1 cable was put into use 2011 a few months later with 2.5 Tbps design capacity.
Glad to hear this. The pie of wealth and prosperity is huge. Plenty to go around. About time more people get a piece of it.
This is a beautiful presentation

I watched Itimi's documentary on Africa's Tech Journey. I was born in 2006 and usually i get frustrated by what i thought was mere lack of exposure in the tech space amongst Nigerian Adults but having seen what the state of tech was like then in her docu and comparing it to how far we've come so quickly (thanks to some daring pioneers), I have more hope in Nigeria's future. And yes I can vouch for what she said about young people brainstorming ideas everywhere, just some years back that wasn't the status quo, the success of our pioneers has given us hope, now there are a lot of ambitious and thanks to the internet well informed youths, and now seeing itimi on Ted, that is also inspiring. It's crazy how hope can totally transform a nation. Y'all our western bros better watch out. Oh and thanks Ted, for bringing Itimi in.
Could you please mention the Elon Musk Africa Connectivity projects, do you have any project from Elon ?
China

I'll be on that red spot someday, not too far away.❤
God loves you and cares for you so that this message reaches you. God is the one who created this large universe and controls it completely. The greatest loss a person loses in this life is that he lives without knowing God who created him and knowing the Messenger of Muhammad, the last of the messengers, and the Islamic religion, the last of the heavenly religions. Great intelligence, before you believe in something or not, is to read it, study it, and understand it well, and after that you have the choice to believe in it or not to believe in it. I advise you to do this now, before you no longer have time to do so. Life is very short. It is just a test, just a passage to eternal life. Great advice to those who… Understands
