  1. In my mid 50's and I've learned that the pleasures in life, the TRUE pleasures, come in the little things. We have been conditioned to want stuff, that stuff will make us happy. Happiness originates from within and 12 cars or houses will not fill that void. Take a walk in nature, look up at the stars, read a good book, listen to good music, take your time, exercise, meditate, feed the squirrels, shut off the news, help an elderly woman carry her packages, smile at someone as they pass you…and be happy.

  2. My parents are 88 years old and refuse to let go if
of 70 years of consumer clutter that has filled their 3 bedroom 2 bath home.
I have asked them to begin to get rid of stuff because when they die my sisters and I will have to rent a construction dumpster and do the work of throwing away 70 years of stuff that clutters the home before we will be able to sell the home.

  3. Every piece of advice is a million dollars worth it. I am 64 now and have simplified my possessions and needs to a great extent so much so that I feel that 70% of my possessions were of little value or no value. I have slowed down the pace of my life resulting in more time for little wonders that nature offers. Felt connected with the contents of this video. Thanks for sharing valuable thoughts. ❤

  4. What about me, I am 76 years old now, sold everything in Germany and moved to south-east Asia already 1995. I built my present house on the lot of my beloved Filipina partner, 30 years younger than me.. 😍 Sure it is for her and her children, nobody has eternal life , not even I 🥲

  5. i am at my 50 and am thinking of my retirement. i started preparing for a small farming with chicken and cow. started the small shed to prepare the area. i have to build a small house for me to stay whenever i'll be going to my home province. by age 53 or 55 I'll be retiring ang put my focus in enjoying myself in a private life. with a small income to generate it will be enough for me.

  6. Every year.
In the fall I purge my home of unnecessary items. I have a wonderful sale in my barn. I tell stories about all the things I am selling.Hoping that someone can use them themselves. Many items were loved and useful at one time but need to move on. It's great to look around and see what you have in your home is useful and loved and all has a purpose. Daily.
I pick something up and put it aside in a box.Knowing it's going to go on the next sale because time has come for it to move on.

  7. I’m 56, life and health condition has slowed me three years ago. Retired for three years I can’t see the benefit of it. Alone at home with the dog I wonder what to do😔🕊🙏🏻

  8. Moved to the caribbean 1 year ago. Dont have a house but have a home . Dont have a car, but I get around. Also got a montain and ocean view from here, eating home grown coconut, banana, papaya, avocado, mango all the lovely food here. I got 2 flip flops and not 20 pairs of shoes like most woman in some places, but happier than most people❤❤❤❤

  9. This video is too long always repeating the same thing. It looks life and death advertisement strategy. The speaker talks too fast for someone intending to present a calm and slow life style. This must begin with himself!lf
