  1. Thanks for the video and actually showing prices. This drives me crazy when people say they can't afford to eat healthy. They just haven't tried. I eat vegetarian and if I cut out the unhealthy cheap vegan food my food is pretty cheap.

  2. I binge eat and will sometimes get frozen meals to try to limit myself in calories but I am trying meal prep to help with it instead. I get the feeling a frozen meal is easy and might help since italready tells me calories but sometimes we just have yo chose different
It is hard to change but I keep trying. All i can do

  3. We do frozen and canned veggies bc time and adhd is not on our side and boil GF pasta due to allergies and rice each one time per week to have ingredients to throw meals together as we go. Meat is bought and cooked or frozen per week to add ease to our busy and contradicting schedules. And spices are what's up to diversify the flavor all week.

  4. Highly processed food is actually more expensive than buying ingredients and making meals. It’s just more work to cook and chop up fruit and veggies. It’s so worth it for your health. I’m a busy mom with two kids. I work full time 12 hour shifts and I still manage to cook 95 percent of meals for my family. I also make it to the gym 3 times a week. We buy some snacks but I actually save money by not buying chips and sugary cereal.

  5. Honestly- as someone who has PCOS…it sucks, but that's not the biggest challenge I've had for weight loss. I want to get to a better place and I think I can and will; but what actually made the weight loss a struggle was mental illness. I don't think people talk about that part enough.

The biggest barrier I had with weight loss was being on an SSRI. It absolutely saved my life when i was so depressed i couldnt function, and certainly wasnt finding the motivation to work out on top of basic daily tasks. I also definitely gained weight on it and it made me SO hungry. Now that I'm finally off I've already lost over 10 pounds.

  6. Hormonal issues absolutely make it difficult if not impossible to lose weight for some people. It took FIVE YEARS for me to find a doctor to check my hormones because I was gaining weight on a serious calorie restriction and working with medical weight management.

Turns out my DHEA levels were so low my doctor said it is "almost impossible" to lose the weight

So yes, with treatment, I may finally start losing weight but it is NOT just calories in vs calories out for some

  7. The woman who says you may not have time tot cook cause you have kids..🤦🏼‍♀️ Kids need to be fed good home cooked food! They need whole foods to grow up healthy. If you decided to have a kid you FIND the time to cook. Cooking basic meals does not take much time or effort. The only time I struggled to cook was when my baby was a newborn, but any other time kids are NOT an excuse to not cook, they are the reason you should cook.

  8. I have PCOS. I was 190 pounds at my worst. I lost over 60 pounds and got my weight down to 130ish in the span of a year. It takes effort and commitment, but it is so possible! PCOS should NOT be an excuse. I used to make this excuse all the time, but when I finally took the initiative to lose weight I did.

  9. America PLEASE vote for universal healthcare. You have no idea how much a society benefits from having even just a few free therapy sessions available a year. Or even the ability to ask a few different doctors your questions without worrying about the bill. You’d be surprised how much delusion would fade.

  10. Healthy eating is infinitely cheaper when you consider the cost of medical care, medications and operations once you get into your 30s and 40s and your body starts to give way (typing from experience here).

  11. I am baffled! Just kidding :'D Healty food is A+ more good than the unhelthy, pizza excluded I gues, you just need to find what works for your paladar. Ihave a more "soup" inclined taste, and managed to get all my family to love vegetables.
Even a Burguer can be a healty meal when It's made at home, try and error, and I do prefer a soup than a bag of fries.
Lost 110 pounds with my crazy loaded soups, I do ate A LOT as big bonned girl, but now I am my normal weight and not close to die…

  12. i dont know chappell roan much but i do know that outside a certain community shes very hated especially by men who tell her to cover up and stop being a pick me. literally under every instagram video of her lives theres a bunch of people hating on her because "oh shes just not confident so she feels the need to show her ass all the time" and calling her digusting names. and yknow what. female artists ALWAYS suffer from comments like this, its not special to obese artists in fact id say that fat women are a bit on the calmer side of these comments because the hate is usually at how the artist has "no ass" and cant dance and stuff. so its super funny for someone to say that chappell roan doesnt get any hate for wearing revealing clothing when thats literally MOST of the comments we ever see about her. and this hate towards confident or underdressed women has always been a thing, its not special to fat people, i promise you if youre skinny and go out in a revealing and extra outfit you WILL get harrassed or weird comments, stop trying to be special. its a women problem not a fat chick problem, why do you want to go against other women, i thought yall preached body positivity and womens rights?

  13. With the price of fast food, it’s even more ridiculous to say, “healthy eating is expensive.” Highly processed meals are expensive too and not filling at all. Chips, pop, juice, dips, snacks, cookies, tv dinners, all very expensive.

  14. The idea that you don't have the time to eat healthy because you have kids seems absurd to me. Certainly not because it's easy, but because it becomes so much more important. Habits and patterns formed in childhood are hard to overcome, so I hope the kids are getting adequate nutrition and not just being packed full of the junk from the drive through…
