West Africa migration: Sharp rise in people trying to reach Europe

There’s been a sharp rise in undocumented West African migrants trying to reach Europe.
So far this year, at least 5,000 people have died trying to reach Spain by sea.
But despite the dangers, many continue to make the crossing in the hopes of a better life.

Al Jazeera’s Ahmed Idris reports from Kartong, in The Gambia.

  3. For some strange reason, both Al Jazeera and the Western Media omit telling the viewers that up to 90 percent of AFRICAN emigration occurs WITHIN THE CONTINENT. Those chose to leave the continent constitutes ONLY FIVE(5) percent. But THAT'S of course NOT what Al Jazeera and the West want you to know. You see: THESE REPORTS are NOT construed to get the viewer accurately informed. They all have just one objective: Get the message across that AFRICANS…I repeat: AFRICANS are intellectually proven UNFIT to create something akin to a thriving well to do country. THIS of course has EVERYTHING to do with…you guess it right….THE COLOR OF THEIR SKIN(They of course would vehemently DENY that THAT is what they're thinking and that THAT is absolutely NOT the case): "WE'RE JUST REPORTING WHAT WE SEE"!!

Bangladeshi students are peacefully protesting for quota reform, but we are facing brutal attacks from the Student League, a government organization. More than thousand of students have been injured, and many lives have been lost. The media in our country, aligned with the government, is not reporting on this issue. Seeking freedom has now become a crime for us.
