What Reggie said is telling about a malaise that is all too present with people , not all, but still way too many folks: bigotry. Especially if one's skin color is darker or different in any way. Shows that it is possible to make laws that grant the same rights to all peoples HOWEVER , legislating against backward and warped mentalities is next to impossible. It's even more despicable when it makes murderers of children seem like heroes as Reggie just related in this interview .
Reggie’s real name is Reginaldo Martinez , Puertorican from the seed of his father. But many say puertoricans are white like we wasnt in slavery in 1492 or ever called ni66@z

Broussard points out that that was 1967, Jackie Robinson's first year was 1947, this was 20 years after Jackie Robinson had to endure what he did and it was still going strong. this is the kind of History a lot of red states are trying to whitewash as we speak

As a kid growing up in Detroit admiring Reggie Jackson, I knew racism was going, but I had no idea people famous like Reggie Jackson were going through that.

I am Black female. I was denied an apartment in 1985! The apartment was available until I showed up then it was suddenly "not available". My boss had to call and vouch for me and tell the owner that I actually had a job and could afford the rent. I am a pharmacist. How many of you were alive in 1985? Racism is still present and very real.
