The reason why we are late to appointments is for humanitarian reasons; we do things off our schedule, which will definitely go against our time schedules.

Super helpful. Going to Ghana for the first time today and can’t wait to experience it😍

The video is old but given valuable information. I'm planning for Ghana this Christmas 2024. I was looking for tips because it would be my first time. Your tips are very helpful. Thank you ❤

@dave642

The same in Philippines, rural areas you have to stop and ask where a person address is. Usually extended family in town can tell you the address. Not like US where you have a street and house number and you know exactly where you are going.

Excellent video! Their #1 really is #1! DO NOT think using your US international plan is going to work for you. I have Verizon and you will pull your hair out because of the slowness. You can buy little wifi units and add time. If you are there for anything more than a week consider doing that. Also, have a Ghanaian with you, especially if you’re white like me. You are completely safe and Ghanaians are so lovely, but when they see you they get $$ in their eyes. Also, a local will help you communicate. Don’t expect everyone to speak English well even though it’s the official language. And go to a local bank and load up on 5 and 10 ghc notes. This will keep you prepared to give something to those begging at street lights and the police at road checkpoints.
