LFC defenders and midfielders were too conservative with passes, except for Salah's goal just one semi-good chance to score and 1 shot on goal (for MacAllister) and it would be a miracle if he did score that (xG=0.08). Where's the creativity? Wheres the energy and grit? In the second half we controlled the ball 63% but didnt create any chances from open play except for Salah's goal. Cant win titles if you cant switch on the full out attack, especially when the opponent is vulnerable like Arsenal were, and break down the opponent.
LFC not signing a LB/LCB was a huge mistake in the summer, hope they sign someone great in the winter, but what are the chances of that 🙁

Slot is riding on mere individual talent at this point. This Arsenal game was a big fail tactically. That flat 4-2-4 defensive shape is stale, Arsenal walked through it like water.
And the worst one is this new trend of Slot playing defensive against Top 6 and then choosing to build up slowly when we recover the ball with all that space to counter attack. I've said it severally, Liverpool don't exactly have the players to build slowly efficiently. Man City have a dynamic high press of 6 players, they will PUNISH Liverpool and Slot if he tries this defensive slow build up rubbish. You have Salah, Nunez, Diaz and Trent, do drills for counter attacks. That's their forte.
