  1. we just booked Irene Resort ,for March 2025 cant wait , chris do you know anything about private transfers to and from Hat Yai Airport to our hotel on Koh Lipe ?

  2. Solo traveler… been to Thailand a few times… don't mind very basic (and affordable) bungalow living. Can get buy without a swimming pool, so long as there's a beach nearby and a functional shower. Maybe a

This year, I'm spending some time exploring the stretch from Krabi, through Trang and down to Satun.

Koh Lipe is definitely on my list — and am interested in Sunset Beach…
    …but 8000 bht per night?
    C'mon…

Any possibility of reviews of basic bungalows in a good location — say walking distance from both the beach and walking street? A market or some good humble restaurants (or even food carts) somewhere nearby.
    …or elsewhere on Koh Lipe?

    Ya' get me?

  3. Stayed on Koh Lipe 30 years ago. One restaurant, 1 long House and 3 beach huts. The menu was fried rice and pineapple or watermelon for breakfast. Dinner:small, medium or large fish. Large colony of Water gypsies. Wanted to learn diving after snorkelling there. Amazing how it changed. Wonder if i want to go back….

  4. Stayed on Ko Lipe for one month in 2004. Bungalow at the far end for only $5 a night. Simple, but with a hammock on the deck and a full view of the ocean, one I'll never forget. Back then, there was no electricity on Lipe, no walking street, no motos. Only a sandy path connecting one side to the other, which you could walk barefoot with a full moon to light the way. Unforgettable. This Lipe, it's still beautiful, but nothing like I remember!

  5. Thanks a lot for your hotel tours! We're staying at the Mali Resort right now and really enjoy our vacation here. For us it has the perfect location, because it's at the beach, quiet and just 5 min. to Walking Street. Last year we had a great time at The Pavilions Phuket, which you also reviewed and recommended. So let's see where your next tour will bring us…

  6. I stayed in Lipe for 2 months in 2021. changing several accommodation from cheap to expensive and mid price just to explore what they have there. and I kept coming back many times to the island as it is the best place I've ever visit as a Thai : )

  7. Thawee and I will be there for the 3rd time…this time in Feb 2023…staying at Chareena Hill Beach Resort for the first time…much better then what you were looking at…but to each their own.

  8. I really loved this tour.
We come to Thailand for several months I winter.
Do you think you could give monthly rates or should we contact the hotels? I love the Malie the best of all you showed.
We stay at Riverside House in Chiang Mai and absolutely love the family run place.
    Delicious Thai breakfast included.

  9. That was a great video. Nice people fixing the sour mangoes. Thai people are just terrific. Very friendly.
Yes, yes— more travel videos on resorts and prices. Very helpful. Thank you so much for the information. That Leo looked delicious as well. 😎🍺
