There is some very grim, important history that is glaring by its omission here. If you are interested it is possible to easily research, there is plenty of well documented evidence/(with citations) available via The Internet. I agree that history should not be told, as much as it is possible, from any biased perspective, Western World or other. History is the whole world. Nothing exists in isolation & we now have the technology to do better.
So what resources can I look up to learn about this from Africa's perspective? Which historians? Why aren't we provided any sources? This is is irritating

Dahomey meaning is wrong. Dahomey means :"the home of the snake". Da is snake and homey is home or house. That is why when you go to the present kings Palace, you will see the python drawings and the python deity.

Dan was one of the tribe that the Bible mention; white man 👨 ( European)stole everything from our continent . 1700 white man invaded the DAHOMEY Kingdom , and they burned the Palace down. This is why they gave a 1910 king James bible to read hahahahhahah😂😂😂😂😂😂🤪
