  1. I opposed the protest due to concerns about thugs and hooligans hijacking the movement, leading to looting and violence. While I understand Nigerians' right to protest, I condemn the destruction of properties and looting. The media, particularly broadcast media, share some blame for sensationalizing the protests.

However, I acknowledge that Nigerians have legitimate grievances and the right to peaceful protest. Securing lives and properties is the government's responsibility, and the constitution empowers them to take necessary measures to maintain order.

To address these complex issues, we must work together to find common-sense solutions, such as investing in agriculture and manufacturing, promoting economic empowerment, and tackling pervasive corruption.

As protests continue, I urge security services to maintain zero tolerance for violence while protecting peaceful protesters' rights. Security agencies must be vigilant and address violent elements decisively, safeguarding public and private properties.

May God bless and guide us all, and may God bless Nigeria.

  2. This is very painful. Why should peaceful protesters be exposed to more pain, brutality and deaths. I can understand if it gets violent. Point of order can be used to control the situation. Nigerians are very peaceful but hungry. We are saying No, to bad governance! May God have mercy on Nigerians and Nigeria in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

  3. instead of focusing on the cause of the protests it seems attention being diverted to the discussion around the conduct of the protestors. The fg has money to police the people but not to feed them!

  4. We Igbos are in support of the ongoing nationwide protest but unfortunately we cannot join you in the protest because we have August meeting and New yam festival to plan. Good luck fellow Nigerians and God bless. 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬

  5. Wike is the person inciting the violence in the FCT. Why is he paying people to protest against the protest which can eventually lead to an uncontrollable clash? The no-protest protesters are just sent to fight the peaceful protesters.

  6. Is a shame Tinubu that is chief protester 🪧 is now fighting his citizens for protesting karma is real Mr President what you sow you ripe 😛😛😛😛you are receiving Wotowoto come out and address your people 😭😭😭
