The music is gnawa music from essaouira there is an international knawa festival every year in essaouira for I think more tha 15 years now and every edition is fully booked .gnawa music is mix of africain routes not to sure but you can check it out

It is the music of "GNAWA", a mix of black africain music and the morrocan one, Essaouira is the capital of Gnawa art, because it was one of the african ports (with Saint Louis of Sénégal) from which slaves leave africa to américa.
