  1. I know of a family the same thing happened to. Well, the kids had a funeral for their dad in the UK and used the money they raised at the funeral and sent the body home and stayed back. The elders then had the responsibility of receiving the body and had to do the funeral by themselves without any help from the kids.
Some of the names were from the descendants of the slaves from Brazil who came back to settle in Africa.

  2. This elder issues I can't stand it, am from Cameron. My issue is where were these elders when my dad was sending us to boarding school, I have told my day to inform the elders that when he passes he has given every responsibility for his children to make every decision. Because I will not be responsible for throwing any else's out of the house. They make me cringe, I can't stand elders. Why is it that all elsers in Africa are greedy, they are no were to be found when help is needed. They always want to ripe where they did not sew

  3. Those names are not necessarily slave names. Smith is not, it’s a name based on an occupation! I know the family. They are also known as the Alagbede’s. Not all Lagosians have slave names.

  4. Phrankleen you are a truth sayer. Religious people play more games than the N. F. As of this entire world. People are naive, weak and vulnerable out there.
It's truly about puppet mastery. Religion petronizes people not to think on their own and make rational sense.
They don't appreciate woke people. They want them passive so they can milk and control them.
    Their brainwashing knows no bound.

  5. We all need to write our wills with specific instructions on what happens after we are dead. I have mine and it has to be followed or my estate goes to the govt, simple. I don't see no elders calling me to ask how am doing.

  6. Tiwa Savage😂😁😆 Na wa ooo…. I think W.African regions got it bad with the oppressed mentalities.
Those store names gets me all theee time! Maybe they think if they attach religiousness to it, it’d be successful 😓😂😂😅🤣❗️❗️❗️
There’s one store in Dallas, lord have mercy by the time you come out your heart would still be palpating from the extreme loud music! iCan’t!😆

  7. Nonsense tradition. Esin oku si ibi to ba ku si. Why transporting empty body ( Corpes) down to Africa to be buried. To my own believe it absolutely rubbish.
I have mentioned this to my children i leave here in Uk despite i travel very often to Nigeria. Let them bury my corpse wherever i have my last breath.
“ Tio ba ti je China” 😁

  8. Phrankleen, I was born into religious background and left christianity some years ago just like you. Recently, I am beginning to follow @babaYooba on Instagram to start learning about African Spirituality. Join us there

  9. The same thing happened to one family and they borrowed money to take the body home and the same elders were demanding a lots from the family before they can buried him. They were frustrated and ran out of money left the death body for the elderly to buried and they ran back to uk.

  10. Bro, I can't tell you how much Christianity and Islam have harmed our African brothers and sisters, they've been the worst cancer destroying the very fabric of what is still left; the problem is that people have remained adamantly blind and proudly hold to this falsehood.
