The green fruit the lady told you to wait a day before eating looks like what we call a sour sop here. Not only is it delicious, it has a lot of healing properties as well for fighting aggressive diseases such as cancer. The brown fruit you were eating resembles what we call a guava. We just eat the whole guava after washing it 😃

The lunch seemed almost identical to Jamaican yellow yam and corned beef. We eat the same beef, with cabbage, boiled dumpling, yams, or with white rice. I see where we adopted everything from.
