The reason why racism and injustice continues to reign in South Africa is because both whites and Blacks ignore the importance of bringing justice to those who need to be held accountable for the acts they commit. This man should have been arrested and the bail should have been at least 2 million dollars. What is a thousand dollars? Black South Africans, when you accept a verdict like this, you are giving those who continue to oppress you “permission” to continue in doing so. You should have went to the streets, where they live, and turned that place up! If a Black South African had done the same, do you think he would have been released on a thousand dollar bail? Absolutely not. So why are you allowing it? You need to hold your police department and your court system accountable as well for allowing this to happen. If there is always going to be a double standard, and accepted in how people are treated, why even complain. This man should be in jail waiting trial.
