I made these and they came out great! Next time, I'll put the Hawawshi on racks above the baking sheet, so the bottoms stay more crispy.

Yummy food
Authentic hawawshi is incredible!!
For your information, Hawawshi is named after the guy who was born in
' Hawawsha ' which is a village in Daqahliyah governorate in the Egyptian Delta.
Ya halawah!!! wallahy I love hawawshi so much. I Grew up in LA but my parents were Egyptian and when we went to Egypt that is some of the first street foods that I started to love. We truly have the best food!!!
Or think of it as hawawshi what it intended to be so when I see a hamburger I will say its a hawawshi with out steroids right colonizer culture changer and it's not like a hamburger when it was created the hamburger wasn't a reference so don't be disrespectful
Full of annoying Youtube claps . . .
Mine fell apart after I took it out from the oven. My pita was too thin, and the meat juices soaked. Going to try making my own dough next time.
Great recipe though, thanks!
I miss egyptian food, I want to go back just for the food 😋😋

Watching this at midnight – going to make this, if only in memory of our trip to beautiful Egypt! 🥰 Love, love your show!
Hawawshy was the name of the butcher shop which invented this dish in Cairo in the 1940s 😊
Yummo!
My 12th grade son made this recipe last night to bring to school to represent Egypt. WOW, wonderful flavor! We'll be looking to make more of your recipes 😊
This is definitely my next thing to try! Thanks Suzie!
Just one concern though, I wonder if I should cover the first say 10-15 minutes with foil in the oven so to prevent the pita from burning?
What meat is that?
I have to do this!! Thanks!!🤗
why is she acting as if she was still on her 18s?
