Amen! Psalm 27 is my favorite Psalm. I believe it tells my life story of child sexual abuse from age 5 to 16 by my dad, his large family, being sold and bartered by my dad and mom, being in my dads sex clubs, and raffled off as prize at sex conventions. I found the LORD at the age of 8 when my parents allowed me and my brother and sister to go to Vacation Bible School. Our neighbor lady who lived down the road in the holler came to the house one summer evening asking my parents if she could take us. And to our surprise both said yes. We had never been to church before and didn't know what they were talking about. And after VBS we were asked if we could go to church with her every Sunday morning, and again to our surprise they said yes, but after several weeks our dad started being resentful, spiteful, and hateful, and he would yell at ys every Sunday morning threatening to hurt us if we kept on going. My brother stopped going first, then my little sister stopped, but I couldn't stop, and my dad said some very awful things, but I had to go, and that's the day that I met Jeses personally, while sitting on the floor in front of the pew. I never felt so much love and peace before in my life. I stopped going after that Sunday morning but the Lord never left me. He protected me through all the sexual abuse giving me love, joy, and peace. I still have problems because of what my parents did to me, but I still love the LORD, and I am so grateful for all that he's done for me and will ever do for me. Thank you for this prayer study, I shared it with my neighbor. God bless you!
