The rumor wasn’t based on a twitter account and it’s not a rumor. It was flatly confirmed that all or some of the wallpapers are AI generated from a completely different app. Just grasping for straws at this point.
If you don't like it don't buy it! Some folks just want to criticize everything for no apparent reason. If its expensive for you like the rest of us then use the free version simple.

Bro this app is full of 💩 … downloading wallpapers is 50 dollars that’s like a scam… Google image, Pinterest so many millions sites available on the internet to download 4K wallpapers for free… these scammers in the name of YouTube influencers fooling people to make money like Mr.beast selling unhealthy heavily processed food as healthy and his target audience is small kids… don’t buy these products it can lead your kids life into dangerous diseases like diabetes

Y’all are completely overreacting. I just downloaded the app and it’s completely fine. There’s a good selection pf free wallpapers, you absolutely don’t need to subscribe or anything. You can watch an add for a full res wallpaper but the free ones are totally fine. I think you never downloaded a third party wallpaper app before. They are all filled with ads and in app purchase too. At least this one isn’t forcing you to buy or watch anything and doesn’t plague the ui with tons of ads. Y’all need to get a grip, it’s ok not to like it but don’t mindlessly bash him over something he’s not forcing to install

I think it’s a bargain. Typically I pay like $3,000 a year on wallpaper apps so you’re really doing one for the culture on this one..
My major issues with the App.
1. It shouldn't be marketed as a "wallpaper app". It should be marketed as an artist community where people can download, follow and discover artists.
2. Half (or more) of the "artists" shouldn't be his employees / friends. That just seems extremely shady and like a grift.
3. AI generated art either shouldn't be allowed or clearly labeled as such. It feels slimy to "sell" AI generated art that anyone could type in and replicate for themselves.

Critiques are not usually good creators
The level of criticism here is laughable at this point. 1. He is not forcing anyone to pay for his app, 2. The revenue is split 50/50 between him and artists making wallpapers, bare in mind that he’s already paying a 30% split to Apple. 3. $50 a year is about $4.16 a month, and the group of people getting this subscription is very very small, so that’s hardly a money grab! How much do you actually think he’ll make off of this? This is more of a passion project rather than a multimillion life changing business venture. Believe it or not but there are people who spend money on digital assets and things that can be downloaded for free. The app is buggy, but give this man time to fix things and make it better. If you don’t like it move on. People who are suggesting that he’s been compromised clearly didn’t like him to begin with. Just say you don’t like the guy and unsubscribe. He’s been transparent since day one and if you’re not willing to give him a fair chance to fix this app than go find something else to complain about 🤦🏾♂️
