American in Africa: Secrets of Malawi – Rich in Untapped Opportunities

Central Africa’s hidden treasure is a country that’s poor on paper, yet rich in opportunities close up. At the heart of Malawi is one of the world’s most beautiful and important lakes, part of Africa’s chain of Rift Valley inland seas.

In my travels around Malawi, I began to wonder, is this country actually poor, or full of untapped riches?…

  1. I worked for 6 months in Malawi twice and fell in love with it….Lived near (well 2 hrs drive)Mzuzu one time and near Blantyre the second time. Returned on my own several years later to Nkata Bay area. I have a special spot in my heart for the place.

  2. Muli bwanji ba Edward. Nice interesting clip on Nyasaland, apologies, Malawi. The Government should market Malawi Tourism and help the tourists with comfortable chalets and cuisine to take back catchy camera clicks and commendable camaraderie. It was interesting to know something from your investor friend on developments in Malawi currently. I'm sure you did well to cover a dozen topics in a dozen minutes. Very well done Eddie. Loved your video👍❤️💐

  3. I've been in and out of Malawi alot over the past 30 years. The Lake is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Lake Malawi is globally important for biodiversity conservation due to its outstanding diversity of its fresh water fishes. In addition for a small country there's a wide variety of habitats for wildlife and fauna, the heights of Mount Mulanje, the rolling hills of Nyika plateau, the heat of Majete national park and the Shire River running through Liwonde national Park. Malawi is well worth a visit.
