Thousands of mourners have gathered for the funeral of Olympic marathon runner Rebecca Cheptegei.
The athlete died after being set on fire by her former boyfriend, and has now been buried in her father’s homestead in eastern Uganda.
As she was also a member of Uganda’s armed forces, soldiers carried the coffin and gave a three-volley salute…

This is so sad. Sometimes we choose the wrong partners. We ignore ALL of the red flags 🚩. People must learn to leave amicably if they are not seeing eye to eyes. As the scripture says, in the last day, the hearts of men will be desperately wicked.
That's some men for you. They feel they own our bodies, our wealth, our minds and our very lives. May her soul rest in perfect peace and the Almighty comforts her family members and love ones. May her life served as a reminder to all women, leave at first sign of abuse being lying, manipulations, emotional, psychological, physical and or financial. Go with your first gut instinct. Mother's, raise your sons to respect and value women. I make a conscious effort of this in raising my son. His wife will be happy about this and appreciate me for instilling this in him. This will go a long way in creating happy in-laws relationships, a happy home, healthy functioning children, etc. Raise your son keeping in mind that failure to instinct these values in him could mean misery for his wife and possibly his daughters.
