As much as i dislike adeysana, he was lighting dricuss up in the 3rd and esp the 4th. Kind of like when he fought alex, he was winning till he wasnt. I think he has a "chance" to beat ddp in a rematch, but is likely to lose a trilogy. Prob besy for him to sit out and hope sean wins the belt. Easier to get a rematch there as he wasnt finished. And he can be backup fighter when sean fights ddp. Worst case he has big fights left but only a few.
Confidence also plays a massive role. DDP became champion beating Stikland – the man who beat Izzy. Now Izzy is on a losing run and he looked it early in the fight. He didnt go in for the kill, didnt look like the guy who was hailed as one of the best in the UFC just a year ago. Izzy can still hit that level again, he can still be champ. But he needs to choose his next fight well. Vs someone who he knows he can beat, then fight the #1 Contender and come back stronger. Maybe by that time DDP might even lose, or come really close to it. Then he's back on the up.
It takes a decent wrestler with a good chin to take any kickboxer out. Even Poatan, once he faces an elite chop busting wrestler especially in LW/HW he'll suffer the same fate as Izzy.
