lmao this race is kinda funny, the winner is in last with ~110 meters to go , trips a guy and scurries to tha line
As a former middle distance and long distance runner. The 800M was the hardest race for me, the pace was way more ridiculous then when I ran the 1500 and 3000
There’s a video on here of his bro watching the race on TV and going nuts as he watches him win the National Title.
Insane kick
The call on this sucked
Shane Cohen deserved to win with that effort (defiantly harder from the outside than the inside; sounds like the commentator has never tried it and or doesn't know) unfortunately, it looks like he tripped the guy from Indiana to me. nobody does that on purpose but it sucks to say it… he should have been DQed. The other guy probably would have at least scored if he had not been tripped. Instead he finished 9th. Whitmarshes is the national champ in my mind though i know he probably wouldn't except a win at the expense of someone else but the rules are the rules. Why is it that officials always get people on stupid infractions but miss stuff like this?
Shanes brothers video brought me to this video
Wow what a comeback but the announcers were pretty ho hum.
Reminds me of Dave Wottle 72 Olympics. Incredible
That Dave Wottle kick!
I could get off my couch and beat that guy
What an ugly way to win. 😂
Who else is here after watching Shane’s brother go crazy yelling at his TV at the end of the race 🙋♂️
LET’S GO SHANE!
Lets go shane! Oh my god
Came from snapchat spotlight. His dad rooting for him had me tearing up. Had to come check it out.
All you people saying he tripped him. It’s a no. 1st off he tripped himself, second they would have dq’d him
Love the “good shit” from the A&M competitor after the race. 😊
Now go find the 1972 Olympic 800 final and watch Dave Wottle's run. Spooky..
"Lets go Shane!"
Here from sports center on Snapchat his friend cheering him on
Come on Shane. Come on SHANE! COME ON SHANE!!!
There’s a clip of Shane’s buddy cheering him on. Do yourself a favor and find it. It’s awesome.

WOW.
Thats a cool customer, Cohen.
He defeated lactate like the US 800 greats in Wottle, and Symmonds.
The story on this guy from quitting, DII 6th place, and now 24' D1 800 champ!!!
LOVE to see the D2 and D3 guys come up and compete. Grats Shane.
We love to see the "little" guys come up and win!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW. What a race!!! Had to watch it back a couple times. Damn.
Trying that strategy at this level never works 😩😩
Sam Whitmarsh, the epitome of graciousness. Who doesn’t want to hang around that guy.
That outside Birdstone move, tho
Dwight said 51 Not super fast 😂, I like Dwight a lot, met him in NYC at Starbucks, it was a real thrill for me! 51 IS super fast!
"Cohen didn't have to exert as much energy"…. lady announcer said here.. What? He was like a machine at the end compared to Sam's style.
Reminds me of how Dave Wottle ran for the Gold Medal in the '72 Olympics. Double the guts Double the Glory!!
Dave Wottlelike finish.
From last place to first place. Amazing. Great job
Shane Cohen was the shortest man in the field. He does have a great finish.
