When the customer tips let’s say 20%. You will only get 20% of the original fare. If customers fare goes up it will be 20% of the total fare but you will only get 20% of the original fare. So they steal the leftover tip.

Everyone has to get a business ID number from the IRS. Indiana regulates that through the Indiana department of revenue. Anyway I just applied for road authority with The Indiana Department Of Revenue 3 days ago. Unfortunately Indiana requires ANYONE giving rides for $ to have a 1,500,000 bodily injury/property damage liability commercial insurance policy. Luckily, I'm not required to have the insurance policy until they ask for proof which they WILL DO before they approve my application
It's exactly this reason why Terre Haute Indiana city police are told to layoff Uber/Lyft drivers BUT if they're excessively exceeding speed limits or involved in a wreck the city would cease to protect app drivers
