if the reason to get this phone is for future software updates then it better to not get this phone at all. It will be obsolete and wont be able to handle the updates as good as the next model just like the old Iphone you currently have. If this phone 16 is out but software isnt i'd just wait til iphone 17 comes out. It will save time from that phone being outdated

No. You can NEVER assume that the feature will come out, or that it will be good. You're doing it 100% right by not reviewing these features until they're out. Do an update later when they come out if you want, but you can't give anyone credit for something that doesn't exist.
