My Breast Reduction Surgery and Recovery Vlog – Answering All Of Your Questions!

So, I had breast reduction surgery. It was the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. At the same time, it was also one of the most mentally challenging things I’ve ever had to weather. I’m by no means sharing this journey to brag – instead I’m hoping to educate others considering going through something similar. I am so incredibly grateful that…

  1. Day 8 post surgery. I was also excited about getting my saggy, large breasts reduced. Now I'm sad they are so small & I have a ton of scarring. The itching is getting to me & it's not even where the stitches are. 😑
The best day was getting out the drains. They made it sooo difficult to sleep. I could barely lean back. Now I'm at a 45° angle.
I hope that once I'm healed I will be happier. thank you for your video

  2. Update: I'm 17 days post op! Went from 30H (yes, I know) to about a C I guess? I don't know yet, but they look very small compared to my previous size 😅 My previous nipples were near my belly button, and I have a flat stomach and I am very small in general so I always looked like an oversexualized anime girl. My doctor said he wouldn't take much, but from what I can tell he took everything he could 😂 I had a combined surgery, I also got rid of large benign tumor in one of my breasts, that's why I decided to have the reduction surgery as well.
I didn't have nipple pains like the op up until a few days ago! I didn't feel my nipples at all and I'm starting to feel them now, I think the nerves are regrowing.
I have not seen my breasts yet! I'm still wearing my special underwear all the time except for when they change the bandages (I'm going to hospital every other day). I saw them from up above, it's weird to see that my nipples are so small, because they were the size of a small plate 😂 and also they are completely flat which is normal again I guess and I am covered in stitches. I am getting them out on day 21.

My breasts look so small in my underwear and when I lie flat down to get the bandages changed that I have no idea how they really look like and which size I am 😂 but I have got used to them and I really like my new size. My husband says that he misses my huge breasts but I really don't know how you could miss them 😂 I am scared that I won't like them, but when he asked me if I would like to get my old ones back, I said NOOOO

Plus I know the form will be changing for the next 6 months and I plan on getting pregnant in a year so I think my breasts will become bigger. That was actually one of the reasons I got the surgery, I wanted to get pregnant and the doctors said that my huge breasts (30h, I repeat) will definitely become much larger because of dense tissue I have, and I will suffer a lot, while with the breast reduction I will still be able to lactate, although of course there are risks.

I cannot wait to take a shower!!! I miss showers so much!

  3. I had a breast reduction about 25 years ago and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. Went from F/G to C. No more pain. Clothes fit better. Don't need to buy bras at specialty lingerie shops. Also, more selection in bras and can wear less expensive ones. Less self-conscious. An unexpected benefit was experiencing perky boobs for a few months until the inflammation went away and they settled into place. I liked them both ways, so no problem that they didn't stay perky. I was also overweight, so my stomach looked much bigger in proportion to my boobs after the surgery. I went from a (large) hourglass shape to more straight and now that I've gained weight, I'm pear-shaped. Still have pinkish scars where the tubes were. But no regrets at all.

  5. Hey 👋 I'm currently on day 4 post op and I must say, you have helped me so much on this journey 💕 I am now rewatching your video, and you are the kindest, sweetest soul. I totally feel your day 5 breakdown, there are so many conflicting feelings but I hope it's totally worth it in the end 🙏thank you so much for sharing this with us and I hope you have the most blessed day 💖

UPD: I'm on day 8 and I feel great! My drains were actually removed today instead of day 5 like in the video, and I must say it was a great decision. I didn't even feel them since day 6 and today it barely hurt when they were removed. Definitely ask to remove the drains later than sooner if you feel like they hurt and you are not healed yet. I also am still at the hospital, but today is my last day! (It's completely free in my country) The nurses and doctors were just the best, I'm so glad I got to spend a week in the hospital. I feel so rested, I was sleeping, watching Desperate Housewives and reading books most of the time. Definitely suggest not to get a lot of visitors, because they may be tiring, especially when you want to sleep and you don't because you don't want to be impolite. Your body needs a lot of sleep while healing, and sleepiness may occur at the most surprising times of day. That being said, please try to be physically active even when it hurts. Take baby steps, but take them, it hurts much less when you're moving and much more when you're laying around doing nothing. Hope this helps ❤

  6. So I had breast reduction surgery back in April of this year and I am very happy with the results and happy that I did it contemplated it for many years now 30 years for sure anyway wondering when is it safe to get the mammogram my doctor said six months which would be October but the incisions are still tight and still healing from the inside so I'm leery any ideas

  7. Omgosh… I’m having a breast reduction this coming September 3, 2024. After hearing about the pain you endured, I’m scared now. The scary part is that I’m going to be 66 in September and probably going to feel worse pain than you did. I also was curious on how to lift up my underwear when you go to the bathroom. Please tell me I’m making the right decision now that I watched your blog.

  8. Hello there!!! Thank you for this amazing video! My surgery date is quickly approaching. I watched your video a few months ago but had to rewatch it so I’m mentally prepared. Your transparency is so appreciated! I feel much better prepared now! Thank you again🤩

  9. Hi. I'm not one to post comments, but I just need to say Thank You so so much for posting about your breast reduction surgery. I have my first consult set for up this coming Monday. I've waited years to finally be ready to go for surgery to reduce my breast size (currently a 36K). My build is very similar to yours and I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Finding your video today is just what I needed!!

  10. Excellent vidéo !!! I have a flat chest ( no boobs at all) and everyone is trying to convince me to have a breast augmentation… but I always thought I don’t need extra weight on my back Id rather be healthy😊😊

  11. Thank you so much for making this, this is ENTIRELY helpful to my soul and spirit as I make moves towards this for myself. I am feeling really excited and relieved, truly thank you for your kindness and vulnerability. I am so so so grateful for you and your sweetheart for taking such good care of you!!!

  12. i am only a freshman in hs and i have Fs, i am planning on getting a reduction once one 18 but im so nervous for the recovery process. My mom had a hysterectomy and seeing her recovery process has scared the ever living shi out of me😭 thank u for this video and helping out girls like me and you!!💕

  13. I just turned 20. At 17, I was 126 lbs at a 32 dd-ddd. Until January of this year, from the end of 2022 I gained 101lbs due to mental health meds, birth control , insulin resistance and eating. Well, -30lbs now, they still sag to my belly button and weigh 13 lbs. I had a spinal fracture in 2022 which caused me to not be active. Now, I can’t run or jog. They are too saggy and never have support. I can’t afford bras that fit. My neck and upper back/between shoulders is kind of a chronic thing every day. My posture is terrible. I hate the way they make me look. I can’t enjoy my first year of my 20’s all because of…boobs😅. No cute outfits, tops or bras. No lingerie. Can’t get anything in stores like target or local boutiques.

  14. @arymhansie I had to get used to sleeping on my back, which wasn't so bad after all. I'm back to sleeping on my side again now.
I am back to doing most things now, except for my freestyle dancing once a week, which I miss. I don’t have any dressings now and am using Bio Oil on the scars twice a day.
