  1. Thank You For sharing this encouraging story. The courage and ingenuity of this Sudanese woman is a wonderful example for others. Such a positive story rather than one of violence and the cruel effects of war. SHALOM!

  2. This is beautiful and inspiring.
I came to see films from Africa Direct since I am also working on my project.
I love how this story is beautifully told.

  3. You can tell the difference between North Sudan and South Sudan. Islamization of North Sudan is hindering its potential, while South Sudan is more progressive and women thrive as a result.

  4. She is a female captain and she collided with another boat on the river Nile and she killed one person in the accident. The local demanded 21 cows as compensation for dead person. The woman had to paid. She is telling people that life is all about struggle and any lady can do anything like men.

  5. Pre-colonial African women were never excluded from traditional economic systems, unlike the West with its restrictions for women in banking and finance. African women are by default entrepreneurial and this tradition lives on to this day.

This isn't bravo, this is commendations to her for upholding African traditions👍🏿
