  1. Other reviews show a global camera performances under the competition. And the average optical zoom of the V did not benefit from being extended on the VI, on the contrary. Sad from one of the top camera manufacturer.

  2. If all the hardware for the camera(s) is the same, why couldn't they make a software patch/app for the mk V that would make it more user-friendly while keeping the pro options still present?

  3. You really think a youtuber has the ability to influence a multibillion dollar corporation with some of the best engineers and designers on the planet? MKBHD is nothing but a blip on their map.

  4. a week into ownership, previously used the xperia 1 IV for two years. I prefer the old dimensions. Never cared for the 4k screen, but i would have appreciated QHD. The battery life is amazing, the new camera app is nicer for pictures in auto, the app remembers previous settings and is much quicker than the PRO apps on the older phones. Finally the Flash light is full size. I have not used the xperia 1 V, but i love the camera performance now. Much better zoom results compared to the IV. Speaker sound is quite louder. They did a good job with the minijack audio performance, no static noise, best mobile phone jack i have used. I would prefer a 16gb model, i manage to freeze apps already.

  5. Battery kife fine but how do they achieve that? I know more manufacturers how cripple the phone so much that apps like Signal doesn't run properly in the background and on some devices it's so worse that apps warns you about how awful the battery "optimization" of certain manufacturers affects the background experience with that apps. Most of them include special rules for apps like Facebook or Whatsapp. For a long time, even Workplace and WorkChat by Meta had this issue before they got excluded by battery optimization from many manufacturers. It's just hilarious. If app background activities doesn't work properly, it doesn't bring anything.

This is why I moved away from Huawei and avoid Xiaomi and HMD Global. Samsung and Nothing doesn't do such cheating.
