The roundtable discussion was centered on issues raised by FOCAP, which is to see the establishment of the Creative Arts Agency Board and Executive Secretary and to see it work effectively for the creative arts sector in Ghana.

The meeting ended with the following.

1- The chief director informed us of them finally receiving  clearance from various divisions, and by the end of August 2024, recruitment for a Skeleton staff to occupy sensitive positions will be established.

2- A copy of the approved Organogram was shown to us, and we were assured that interviews for the various positions will start from this week.

Since our major demand was to see A LEGAL BOARD & EXECUTIVE SECRETARY established, we insisted  and they explained that they needed to get the skeleton staff that will execute the orders of the BOARD in place after which the domains will be formally written to, to appoint their respective representatives to the board as the act1048 demands.

The meeting was inconclusive as we were assured of another encounter with the leadership of the ministry to finally deal with the BOARD and EXECUTIVE SECRETARY issues before our scheduled Picketing.

FOCAP is assuring all alliances, Creatives, media, associations, and members of FOCAP that FOCAP is poised to see sanity prevail and systems and structures work and we will keep all and sundry updated at every stage.
