  1. This is a clarion call for indigenous businessmen in the oil industry in Nigeria. Take ownership of your own resource and let the benefits stay in Nigeria. No foreign company can do that for you. Do it yourselves, Nigerians. Do it yourselves. Enough is Enough.

  2. A big lost for Nigeria, shell is better in workers welfare than all Nigeria company put together, Nigeria big man are the one frustrating shell to leave so that they can enslaved their people

  3. Let us not deceive ourselves. These companies are not leaving because fossil fuels, they are leaving because they don't see anything changing. How are we looking to war with Niger some months ago and we cannot secure our own lands? We are not serious and companies that are for profit know this very well. They know they can keep stealing but they also know if things are done properly there will be 100x the profits. This is the problem with our small minded leaders. They are content with one one Kobo so they can ride big motorcade on unfinished roads. Embarrassing

  4. Wow, all these years Shell has been in Nigeria, there seems to be no technology transfer, and we wonder why we are an undeveloped country. This is why China is able to compete with the US. Technology transfer is the core of their Modus operandi

  5. Shell is quitting after more than 60years because they know that the current situation in the country, politically, economically and security wise is not promising. Nigeria is sitting on a time bomb .

  6. Aturu Chika, blowing grammar on this matter is useless. You know that nigeria is a failed state and is very unsafe for business. That's why Shell and others are leaving. Dundee.
nigeria journalists are analytically inept and extremely daft.

  7. Chika Mbonu, always covering well all angles. Shell selling to RAE its shares in onshore activities and the lack of positive effects in the use of funds by FG/SG&LG. Thank you.
