Taylormade Shirt is Class @Marques Brownlee
This is so cool
Wait, but could a lesser number of repairs be correlated with a higher number of outright replacements?
How to destroy all your credibility with a single video by Marques Brownlee.
Well, sometimes i end up watching his videos, and this one i tried to watch neutrally AFTER i seen some other people react pretty negative to it and this comments here are also not helping.
Lets say this is a Video about HOW Apple ensures it's buildquality, then you can survive until a certain point without thinking too much.
But at about 07:40 its definetly over.
HOW, HOW can an otherwise not so dump human speak this much bullshitterish and manage to look like he is not even THINKLING about to blink ONCE?
That repairability and longjewe… longjewi… longitude… durability somehow CAN'T go hand in hand is something that makes sense is insane.
HOW does that make sense?
Where?
Is there some other physiks involved or magic or what?
With the words of an epic father and god:
BOI!
Sell out
The amount of comments from louis rossman's cult is crazy🤣
ive been saying this a guy was a shil for years. i remember hes used get mad about how iphones never having full hd diplays for years while the competition had 2k displays (1440p) not to mention OLED was being used years before apple ever even considered the idea. hes used say it how it is. i remember he used to care about the consumer and how far your dollar can take you. ever since he got rich he could give 2shits about you or your money. theres great companys out there that are making amasing products that are well worth the money but ofcourse now he always makes videos about the next 1300$ phone but i guess thats how industry is nowadays.
0:05 Elon musk finna sue him😂
Why doesn't MK eat an apple and go fu….. FULLY BACK TO HIS ORIGIN?!? only for a visit, so's he could experience it & show how it is the … there! Bet it's a WONDERFUL place that is nice & moist, just like the thumbnail.
Me? Rossman is THE authoritative AUTHORITY regarding electronic repair and the quality of the stuff 'created' by self-aggrandizing self-righteous self-full self-ish sellers of 3- shell-monty switcheroos.
The 'house' Always Wins – ALWAYS.! unless SOMEONE opens your horizon so's You can See it! and then you will ALWAYS see it – it CANNOT be 'unseen'.
Propaganda
Hello Marques,
I know you won't probably read this because you have billions of views and millions of subscribers.
Having been here from the beginning, from when you were adding people on your Google Plus, i have decided to unsubscribe.
The tech industry is filled with planned obsolescence, shoddy workmanship and high prices for sub-standard devices where simple features such as 3mm headphone jack, SD slots, IR blasters and replaceable batteries have been completely sacrificed in the name of convenience. The truth is of course, cost, and yet we pay substantial amounts of money for devices that lack what I would consider basic features. We are pushed towards lower memory due to spiralling cost, often then having to utilise cloud based storage at further cost. This may be seen as intelligent business sense by some. I however feel that the industry is misleading the end user consistently and I feel Apple in particular are guilty of this shift more so than most. It has put me off purchasing their devices since their inception and little has changed to make me think otherwise.
This video feels like sponsored advertising. It lacks impartiality. Apple has had numerous durability issues, has aggressively made their handsets less repairable and all the while have increased prices. The end user experience and numerous questions about what is or is not covered under warranty are real concerns and oerhaos due to Apple's tendency towards litigation puts people off speaking out against them.
Consumers look up to people such as yourself as they cannot afford multiple high end devices.
I cant subscribe to a channel where these issues arent directly addressed.
marq- my visit to ap… 'samsung ad plays' the gods has spoken 😂
Shilled for Apple. THIS video is why I UN-subscribed and why I now tell YouTube to never again suggest your channels. Bye bye.
Stopped watching MKBHD more than 2 years ago.. I feel vindicated now
From Android advocate to Apple PR person. I saw this for a while that's why i unsub him 2 years ago. But this is a new low tbh.
The moment i saw his name in quotes, i knew he sold his soul another one bites the dust, sad and pathetic. Looks like is time to go(unsubscribe)
In my point of view, apple dont want repairments, they want you to buy a new iphone every year.
You've just lost all credibility in my eyes.
So I am conflicted (yes, I am late to the party, I get it)
On the one hand, the lab is great to see and really interesting and there are (let's be real) valid points in that it is difficult to create a device that is as resistant to water than a modern phone is AND make it small AND make it repairable, this is a hard engineering task to do.
But stating that making a robust device directly contradicts making it repairable is wrong. One example of that is the new generation of iPad, it clearly is not more robust than a device with more "thiccness" (sic!) would have been, but it is a hell of a lot more difficult to work on since it is hard to use "standard" hardware that can actually be repaired. I am talking about screws and latches, I am talking about the area glue is being required.
Other commenters are absolutely right that Apple is trying to get their way with locking down firmware, but this is not what this is video is about, this video is about mechanics, not software, that's why I focus on that.
But on the other hand, my phone of choice is a Samsung which is pretty much as bad as Apple to be frank…
Wow. I have lost any respect I had for this guy and his channel. Talk about propaganda 🤮🤮🤮
Honestly I have to say this even with these tests are impressive the last part is why prefer Android regardless because for one Android is ahead of Apple they are not the Innovative energetic big company they used to be they just laid back and wearing a fake mask.
I always respect them who they where now is not them is just being somebody. I want to love them but they do not show it to me
The claim that durability can only be achieved by reducing repairability is unfortunately not true. I think the opposite is true: if something is easier to repair, it is more likely to be repaired and therefore last longer. The simple truth is that it is maybe just harder to design a product that is both: durable and repairable, and Apple is obviously not willing to make that effort.
I don’t know why this video has so much hate. It’s really interesting seeing how they do all the tests!
Android users be complaining a lot 😂they wish he visited Android to see those tests
And Cameras still break on a motorcycle
please stop gluing the damn batteries ☹
Lots of face touching right after making a claim… Doesnt that imply that person just lied?
It is the same thing with plastic wrapping in food. If there is no plastic wrap, some foods get spoiled pretty fast. If you wrap them up. You can store them longer and it lower costs and makes less waste into the planet. Unless you overproduce, but that is another problem.
Nice, but as you previously mentioned "most phones break when you drop them anyway" so I'd rather have my phone repairable and able to buy parts for human prices rather than have my phone 15% chance of surviving contact with my walkway anyway.
Disgusted that you've given Apple such a soft ball opportunity for them to try and sell us their BS. One subscription lost. Grow a pair.
My iPhone 12 mini got completely destroyed from 5 seconds and 2 inches in the water. I wanted to try to film under water so I dipped half the phone(camera side down) into a pool and when I took it out it completely shut down. I had to buy a new phone. Apple couldn’t fix it and a phone repair store said it would be $600+ so I bought a iPhone 12 Pro. Any idea why this happened?
You couldnt pay me to have an iphone.
Or any apple product for that matter.
If you cant fix it, you dont own it.
I’ve used apple products my entire adult life. Actually even before… I currently use a refurbished iPhone XS Max that I bought several years ago from BackMarket.
My ex bought me the 1st AirPod pros. I still use them to this day, although I can’t use noise cancellation cos it makes a weird rattling sound.
My backup phone is my old secondhand iPhone 7+.
But even I recognize this as propaganda. Apple has been making more and more moves to become a nonsense useless luxury company.
We need to pressure them to allow us to repair our own phones. After the last 3 releases, I’m never buying another Apple product. Used or not.
Disappointed in MKBHD.
But not surprised… I unsubbed after following for years.
lol!
Shame on you Marques Brownlee for letting Apple spread this bullshit
very cool
This is pathetic
It's still a great channel, now we just know not to come here for hard hitting journalism, it's just tech reviews.
