Is the palace adults only?
The place is the PITS!!! I had an eight day stay booked! I stayed one night!!! The rooms smelled like mildew, raw sewage and I saw two spiders!! One medium sized and one was huge!!! 30 minutes after leaving the restaurant a lady I met there said raccoons came out I went on the Guanacaste side to Papagayo’s!!
Amazing place to visit. Vacationed there back in 2015 and had a lot of fun. If you do go, try to spend at least a full week there. The time goes fast when you're at the resort. Also, make sure you book the excursion that takes you to The Tabacon Grand Thermal Resort and the Masaya Volcano trip in Nicaragua. It's a one-day trip and it includes meals. You won't be disappointed. Tabacon has a large rock swimming pool that's heated from the earth. I could stay in that water all day.

They have a problem with English speaking people and get upset when they cant call a word or if nobody understand what they just said .
So yes the resort is beautiful but……..
Riu palace is loosing two wedding right at this moment because of lack of communication and not replying to clients . No customer service over the phone but yet they show you a bright smile when you get there .
Hotels need to know same guest you are being rude with over the phone is rhe same guest you will try to smile into this person face at check in.
Do better.
Resort is beautiful, staff dont have a clue about hotel industry.
When a guest have a complain they keep sending you to the same person over and over and nothing gets resolved.

There's no excuse for dirty linens in rooms. Someone is supposed to be double checking that.

Most of this is true. But some things that he mentioned I’ve never heard at the riu palace! And you don’t need to drive anywhere to get to the concerts! They play at 9:00pm every night right under the lobby!😊

I went, it was fun but honestly the party scene sucked. All parties were like 1 hour max and then they closed down and everyone went back to their room. After 12AM there is nothing to do, literally. This is basically a family resort so don't go here looking for anything party wise.
I’ve been it’s truly amazing!!! The swim up bars… the food!!! The jacuzzi suites are to die for! You’d get your own private hot tub on your own private balcony 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹. Best massage of my life!

This is a fantastic resort… one of the best I've ever experienced. For the most part, this video presents a truthful and positive review. There are however, some mistakes.
Playa Matapalo is a PUBLIC beach, not private.
The water park is nowhere near the beach. It is way out front, beyond the parking lot.
There is no such thing here as a "QUIET" pool. In fact, the publisher of this video is showing footage from a completely different resort.
There is no lazy river at the water park.
