The situation there was apparently awful. There was legitimately no food. In the world seemed very focused on other humanitarian crisis (which, of course are also important, but it hurt to see Armenia overlooked)

I reckon even if the Kim Regime cimes crumbling, it will not lead to korean reunification. China would not accept an American ally on its border. The most likely China would either prop up a new North-Korean pupet regime or pull a Russia and enter North korea under the guise of peace keeping. Then slowely incoroprate North korea as a defacto provice of China. While still maintaining the illusion thats its an independent state.
