  1. Point of correction: Our names are and were names shared in and around the Sahara way before the advent of Islam. Lest we forget, movements through the desert for trade has enabled cultural transfer in both directions and inter marriages. The names were in existence before Islam. Islam adopted them and trade and intermarriage perpetuate them. Ger it right please.

  2. 1. Before islam, hausa women were viewed as equal to men and hausas were mainly ruled by women, so i don't know you got your information from but it couldn't be more wrong (the part before islam) 🙂
    2. Islam was introduced to hausas by fulanis (Usman Dan Fodio) not arabs.
    3. Most hausas do not get married from 12 to 14 years old, it happens that kids from 12 to 14 years old get married by their parents but live together as a married couple years later. But most of the time it's not the case.
