I like these documentaries. Roughly half is soothing aerial footage and the other half informative interviews with locals.
Great video but think it should be titled gulf islands.. missed most of the actual island..
I'm fortunate to have this as my backyard. Oddly, no mention of Tofino, Cape Scott, Pacific Rim National Park…skiing at Mount Washington…so much was left out.

❤Many 😍🌹 lovely trips from beloved ❣️ former home of Seattle.🕯️🕊️
This is an old video. Victoria has grown a bunch in the past 15 years. The video of the plane flying over Victoria harbor looks to be about that old. You can tell by the landmarks. Some items are gone. Some things aren't there yet in the video that are there today…hi rise buildings etc. The blue bridge to downtown is replaced now
Its my favorite part of Canada. 💜
39:13 The pulp mill in this scene just got fined in 2024 for dumping chemicals into the ocean.
Boat maybe best
Worth watching Doc Series💞

People need to realize most vitamins and minerals cannot be absorbed through the skin…the molecules are too big to pass through the skin. Eating would be the better option…
The island is my home. It's a beautiful place, but sadly, much of our forests have been clear-cut, and the tree farms that replaced them have been the epicenter of fires due to improper forest management.
Highly recommended to look at the island from google Earth. The island greatly resembles a quilt in its patchwork of clearings.
Only 15% of the old growth forest remains compared to the 50s when 80% of the island was old growth.
Can we go
