My condolences to her family,may soul rest in peace. When i was in High school the only thing i do without fear is to find my way home when i feel sick and nobody wants to sign exiat book for me. I go through the school gate and come back as i came without any problem. Honestly i didn't like going home because they will always sack me back to school,but when it comes to my health, my mum goes the extra mile.
Is not the mistress and the house mistress fault some of the girls did that to go and visit their boyfriends which that one too can cause problem for too. But the nurse who was in charge she is the one who didn't do it well she must face the law.
This I've experienced when I was in SSS… I had a wound on my left leg and my senior house mistress wouldn't sign for me to go home for treatment till it got to the point where my wound was like getting rotten and I couldn't walk before this woman signed for me.

Not all Senior High schools are negligent. The same with house mistresses – though strict, the house mistresses I experienced in my school took care of their students.
Also, it was mentioned they would have no one to look after her. In my school in mild cases, where you can be taken care of in the sickbay – your class prefect and dormitory leader will arrange care if not by themselves by asking those close to you. The nurse at the sickbay could send a message to the class or dorm leader to inform them and excuse you.
For severe cases, the nurse, a student, friend, dormmate or health prefect can keep company if a housemistress is not readily available. A teacher, other prefect, club leaders can also accompany.
Such generalisations should not be made as some schools, their heads and the teachers are doing their best and are dedicated to the student well-being.
On the other hand, from this case, its brought to light the negligence in the care of students in certain institutions and this must be addressed on a case by case basis and not generalized.

Hmmmmmmm i nearly lost my daughter last year with this same issue .i rushed to the school fight the house mistress and took my daughter straight to the 37 military hospital.My daughter reported of dizziness,the nurse told her it is Malaria not knowing my daughter's Blood level is done , immediately they did a test and set a Blood line on her and now is life .The parents need to sue the school paaaaaa .
Clement this thing too happened when I was in shs 2,Ghana national college, Cape Coast. A girl named Ruby died on a Saturday of asthmatic attack and the hose mistress and other teacher neglected her till she died in front of them. I don't know the kind of spirit in house mistresses but those humans are wicked

It is not negligence, this is pure wickedness. The nurse, the school and the house mistress should be sued. Even if she liked to fake illness, they should have administered first aid to her, and again who on earth would want to fake illness. It was pure wickedness. May her soul rest in perfect peace
