  2. Zama Zamas work in a web that is the same as cartels. There are guys who are the financiers of a ZZ, who makes sure you eat, they pay off the on-site security guards who were contracted to make sure that there's no vandalism/sealing off the shaft until closing down, they make sure you're safe/untouched from other cartels who wants to hijack that shaft (hence the guns & violence). You go to work underneath with an agreement to surrender whatever you got to the financier. They go sell it to the black market & the ZZ gets his share.

Depending on the size of the mine when it was officially operational, it's a world down there with offices, bathrooms, cloakrooms & even shaft transport vehicles. So it's really very different from a layman's imagination.

However to aid to the views of these men, most of the mines are owned by big colonial entities like Anglo, Lonmin etc that we have all witnessed their power from the Marikana Massacre & the length of their powerful arms in the SA/ANC government.

It takes a phone call for them to resolve the ZZ crisis but they seem to be nowhere to find. One might say they left them because they were not making profit yet they still have very expensive infrastructure around those shafts.

I think it's two ways; it's them being involved in the black market in disguise OR they're not doing anything so they can demonize black miners that SA still cannot be handed sectors like mining because it'll be chaos with blacks in charge.

Ok if that is an extreme opinion & if those companies have acclaimed morals, why are they not doing drastic action to safeguard people from engaging in dangerous shaft operations.

  3. Always delivering great episodes Pen my guy 🤜🏿. But I had to correct you when you are saying media is painting our African brothers bad you are wrong these guys behave in their own country cause they is law & order ngoba bayazi isono ukufa kepha mabefika lapha kwamachangca baba heartless the Mozambicans you talking about they are stealing cars killing people the BaSothos are stealing our livestocks, Nigerians you know what are they doing baze balwe namaphoyisa.

  4. Hayi wangifaka uSiya ke nga ma tiya. The last time he was here I bought Hibiscus tea now I had to get the Kinkeliba and man did I drink it in the evening 😂😂. Long story short, thank you so much. Shoutout to black Pen and the crew for putting this together. I rewatched this 3 times already.

  5. Pen. Can you ask Siya to unpack the mining industry. How can a young person enter the industry and thrive, where to sell the produce and the licensing requirements, and maybe how to acquire funding

  6. My comment is not based on this interview but with one where penuel was interviewing the foreigners in South Africa .Penuel has been soo unfair to advocate Ike but clearly favoring the Zimbabweans speaker.Penuel are you a foreigner?I am so disappointed at how you gave the Zimbabwean guy all the time. The honorable Ike was given exactly minutes ,but Zimbabweans guy 45 minutes. You have no shem Penuel,

  7. I'm challenging u Pan, u once defended banks, when we were said they are profiling us differently than our white counterparts in order to make us blacks pay more intrests. Plz come back talk about it.
